The throwback blue uniforms never had a chance.
The Indiana Pacers have had some of their best uniforms in those old ABA unis this season but the San Antonio Spurs played the game at a level beyond such tacky superstitions. Their veteran stars were rested and ready for the Pacers and showed Indiana how to make life difficult for an opponent. I mean, even the ball movement to create open shots that they missed was beautiful.
Essentially, the Pacers gave a B-level effort on a night when they needed an honors level performance. That left the boys in blue on the chase all night long. Now they head to Houston where they need to bring a big effort to salvage a split in Texas this weekend.
