Can we be done with the gimmick?

I never really took to it, and i feel no one else is except for Vogel, who keeps endlessly repeating it.

I can see he had his reasons to do so when he started being the head coach, but at this point I think he needs to reconfigure the situation. Some of the reasons are; one our defense has not developed that much and another thing is; it is not helping us with the calls we are getting. But to tell the truth what is really going on for me ... I just think it is dumb.

It makes us sound like we are from the 80's and we are trying to take the crown from the Detroit Bad boys. Maybe Tyler can do a good Bill Laimbeer impersonation, but in those days the calls were made a lot different. In this day and age the NBA calls for a different team identity.

Besides it conflicts with what Larry Bird has been trying to create. I am not saying I want our team to be a bunch of stamp collectors, but we have a team of well rounded personalities. All these guys you can go into the community with and be proud of, and here we go tell the world they play "smash mouth basketball".
