Around SBN: Shaq As Orlando Magic General Manager? Don't Bet On It

If the playoffs started today,

we would have the 4th seed and would be playing Atlanta with home court advantage. We would have won that series then we play the winner of the Bucks-Bulls series. Winner of that series would probably be the Bulls. That should be a fun series and we have a good chance of winning and advancing to the ECF to play the winner of possibly Heat-76ers series. Against the Heat, we might be a little overmatched unless we bring our A game the entire series. If we did, we have a good chance of beating them especially if we play zone against them. Against the 76ers, we all know we can beat them and we will beat them. I truly believe, when healthy, we can go deep in the playoffs this season.

I know we are just coming off a loss, our 2nd loss at home but when I looked at the standings, I couldn't help but look at the bright side.

Feel free to do your own Pacer forecast and say I'm wrong.

I'm glad it is not today though

only because I think they need more time to develop. I truly believe they have just as much ability to win the ECF as anyone does.

I think the current set-up for the playoffs would be ideal.

I’d much rather face Atlanta in the 1st round than Orlando (or Boston or Philly) and I’d rather get the Bulls in the 2nd round than the Heat.

agree with that...

except I’d rather face Boston than Atlanta I think…assuming Horford is back by then.

If the playoffs started now...

…the Foster/Hill-less Pacers would have a pretty good shot at beating the Horford-less Hawks….but to think we’d stand a chance against Chicago with the thin lineup we have right now is almost laughable.

this thin line-up without hill

is pretty much the same thin line-up that gave the bulls a scare last year/ only this time, we have west. maybe he can be the difference maker but it still will be tough.

Um...we still lost in 5

We need depth. We are relying on several guys who should not be regulars on NBA rotations.

Optimistic but grounded

by the Miami beatdowns administered on 76ers & ourselves.
Luckily for the league, the ball is round.
