The Indiana Pacers face an interesting challenge when they host the New Orleans Hornets on Tuesday night. The Hornets have been a team in transition following the Chris Paul trade but recently have gained some traction when head coach Monty Williams altered his starting lineup at the start of February.
With 6'6" point guard Greivis Vasquez and 6'10" power forward Gustavo Ayon in the lineup the Hornets won three games in a row before losing last night in Oklahoma City. The change in starters gives New Orleans one of the few teams in the league that can match the Pacers length and in fact surpass it with the big point guard.
The Pacers don't necessarily rely on their length advantage to play difference-making defense, although Paul George does at times when he zeroes in on a smaller guard. But getting up under the opponents chin and making them uncomfortable is more a matter of will than size and something the Pacers need to continue to display in order to add another W over the Hornets.
Here is the Pacers.com preview. For a New Orleans perspective, check out At The Hive. Also, after the game check out Pacers Overtime on WIBC 93.1FM with Eddie White. Need to have an Indy Cornrows mention on the show!

Get off to a fast start
and run with it! That shouldn’t be too hard to do at home.
Both of you are right. :)
What was that possession?
Have Paul go one on four in the lane and hope you don’t get whistled for three seconds?
They are 4 for 4
good time for a chat with the coach.
Ayon is a really nice looking player on offense
but he has nothing for DWest on D. Gotta keep pounding them inside
Price screwed up the pass
and he knows it. Expect a little fire to open up the second quarter.
granger is so inconsistant
"Death had to take him sleeping, for if he had been awake there would have been a fight."
now he is sick
"Death had to take him sleeping, for if he had been awake there would have been a fight."
I kinda want to see Jarret Jack Jump Turnover, just for old times sake
and it won’t be bad because he plays for the other team, this time. (For what it’s worth, I liked Jack when he was here, though. He had a mini-David-West face)
WOOT ANOTHER TECH
"Death had to take him sleeping, for if he had been awake there would have been a fight."
I wish Roy would have just taken Solo Jones
It’s like he was waiting for the DT so he could pass it out
It's funny because it's not like the Hornets are lighting it up from 3
inside the arc is another story
will they miss
"Death had to take him sleeping, for if he had been awake there would have been a fight."
I like that Roy's season high is 20
And he has 19 now.
That means he won’t get two FG attempts in the second half.
We never should have let him go
He’s a warrior and was the only person who stepped up on the team when Granger got injured the year he was here.
I never minded him, and he seemed more emotionally stable on a non-emotionally stable team
He’d be a nice addition but I wasn’t really in love with him. His really bad habit of stepping out of bounds, or throwing the ball to no one when he got stuck in air was infuriating to watch, like he was unaware of where he was on the court.
I guess he’s better at that now since he went to the Hornets but he did that at both Portland and here.
He's had a great year
Hampered a bit lately by an injury. He really took advantage of the opportunity Chris Paul leaving and Eric Gordon being hurt brought him.
Solo
SOLO dunking on Hibbert pretty much erased all that great play Hibbert had in the first half. Sad.
What’s wrong with the D? Are guys helping too much? Just seems they have a guy wide open every time down the floor.

He could have got up.
He had about 5 seconds of just sitting on the floor. Felt more like a silent protest to an official than an actual injury
He was hit on the jaw
could have a concussion.
Really wish we knew how to set screens like the Hornets. They are laying some hits on guys.

They've been missing a lot too
Shows how hard it is to drop that FG% when you were sky high to begin.
Anthony Jordan
the Price is right. Wow, we needed that.
Watching the NO feed
They have some excellent commentators.
I can't tell if you're being sarcastic
I haven’t heard their commentating team in a couple years but my reaction to them was that only Boston and Chicago were worse than them.
Maybe they got better or a different team in general.
Hello, my name is Nathan
And my dislikes include transition threes and allowing opponents to score on their final possession of a quarter.
Solo is even wearing a 10-day contract uniform number
#18? How many numbers do you have to go through before you end up at #18 as your number?
We arn't gonna make another basket
"Death had to take him sleeping, for if he had been awake there would have been a fight."
At the game
Must I say we need to pass more and not shoot the 3 so effn much damn it Nola has 22 assist n thats why there playn so well

hi guys.
just tuned in. why are we behind? thought we were supposed to blow this team away.
Combination of things
They are better than their record shows, and are shooting lights out. The Pacers aren’t playing all that great.
why are the hornets allowed to wear those uniforms?
eyesore galore
Dodged one with that three by Ariza (or however you spell his name). I thought he was going to make it.
I thought they were going to make their last few
Every single one they put up, I have to hold my breath.
That was a prayer
answered. No stop on the other end, but NO missed the open jumper.
hopefully a late basket.
don’t want to leave a lot of time
National outlets
Who say West has been an underachiever this year don’t watch the Pacers. It’s easy to tell when they don’t.
would feel better if only
roy hit that and1 earlier
But free throws are so HARD.
Apparently, anyway.
FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK
"Death had to take him sleeping, for if he had been awake there would have been a fight."
hi im darren collison, im a small point guard, how dare you suggest i make my free throws
oh what a pass by STEPHENSON! AND THEN ITS PAUL GEORGE!
like to see west go at ayon and foul him out quick
oh what a pass by STEPHENSON! AND THEN ITS PAUL GEORGE!
If you can't beat a sub-.500 team at home in regulation...
…It doesn’t matter what happens in OT, you’ve already lost.
this is why retards arent in charge of keeping the standings
oh what a pass by STEPHENSON! AND THEN ITS PAUL GEORGE!
Standings are not really indicative of how good a team is
That’s why everyone agrees the Sixers are much better than the Pacers, even though the records are very similar.
3
oh what a pass by STEPHENSON! AND THEN ITS PAUL GEORGE!
solomon jones fouled out with 3 minutes left in regulation
and ayon has 5
oh what a pass by STEPHENSON! AND THEN ITS PAUL GEORGE!
Without looking at the schedule
Who do the Pacers play next, the Charlotte Jordans? Last game before the Allstar break?
Hey guess what
The game’s not over.
But the Pacers think it is.
Thank you.
I choose to disregard your sarcasm.
Wait is this post sarcastic too?
I turned my sarcasm detector off and then I dropped it, so I’m can’t tell.
shes throwing dr dumbshit's own quote from earlier back at him
oh what a pass by STEPHENSON! AND THEN ITS PAUL GEORGE!
Hey
I don’t have time to keep track of my opinions.
I live in the moment.
Like a goldfish.
and die within 2 years reguardless
we can only hope
oh what a pass by STEPHENSON! AND THEN ITS PAUL GEORGE!
Oh dang, you're right...
I need to get working on my memoirs.
i like that sub by vogel
another perimeter defender and ft shooter. now just lift dc for aj…
oh what a pass by STEPHENSON! AND THEN ITS PAUL GEORGE!
Well, night everyone
Here’s to beating the Charlotte Hornets. I’m not sure if they’re actually alive.
Gotta Love Big Roy
Smacks Quinn right on the butt…..

MAN, DON'T START WITCHA BULLS%%T THIS MORNING!!!
Props for AJ
Price has been playing well lately. Good to see that. I like this team with a triple point guard threat..Collison, AJ & Lance……add Hill after tomorrow if he can play the point effectively..Then it will be Hill-Collison-AJ in that order..Lance at spot mins at the point and back up at the 2.
