IC Cold Links: David West Set To Face Remains Of Hornets
When the New Orleans Hornets take the floor at the Fieldhouse tonight to face the Indiana Pacers, David West will face his former team for the first time. But the Hornets hardly resemble the team West left behind.
Only Marco Belinelli and Trevor Ariza remain among the starting lineup West played with before a knee injury ended his season early last year. Point guard Chris Paul is long gone and former front-court running mates Emeka Okafor and Carl Landry are currently sidelined with their own knee issues.
West knew the situation in New Orleans was unsettled at best with Chris Paul's situation so he decided to look for a more stable situation and found a perfect fit with the Pacers. He should be plenty amped up tonight to show his former team that he still has some game.
The Hornets have struggled mightily this season with Eric Gordon injured and Chris Kaman in and out of favor with the team, but they reeled off three consecutive wins last week before losing last night in Oklahoma City. The Hornets play the Pacers as the middle game of three games in three nights.

Speaking of former team
with Beasley’s minutes dwindling quickly and Minnesota still winning it may be time to make a play for him.
The fact that he can play both SF and PF makes him very valuable.
He can back-up Granger at SF and when Hansbroughs off, imagine having an athletic PF that can score readily available.
Despite his defensive deficiencys and his sweet tooth for bud, no-one can question the kids skills.
Make it happen Larry, Make it happen…
Djones is great off the bench
when he isn’t the main scoring option. When he forces shots he misses 10/10
"Death had to take him sleeping, for if he had been awake there would have been a fight."
As difficult as it may seem..
I think we’ll survive the loss of his greatness lol
More importantly I believe Minnesota needs of a SG.
why do u think they would want our trash then
I don’t get people and offering their most hated player and thinking that anyone else would want it
"Death had to take him sleeping, for if he had been awake there would have been a fight."
Trash???
To the contrary Mr Mustache, to the contrary.
Althou I would never use the word “great” when describing DJones and his game, I would agree that he’s a valuable piece to our bench.
He is a very good defender, attacks the basket every chance he gets (sometimes to a fault) and gives 100% every time he’s on the court.
Throw in the fact that he makes a little more then 2 million yr and I would go as far as to say he’s a steal at that price.
Hate is such a strong word and one I have never used when describing DJones or his game. You must have me confused with someone else.
Lets just say I believe Beasleys “greatness” is greater then DJones “greatness”
I doubt that we see Beas fit what we are trying to present on and off the court
But the Wolves really really need wing help and don’t seem too enamoured with Beasley any more. Personally I am all for him and would give up DJones and some 2nds for him. When Beas is on he’s on and I’d think we have a good enough culture around here now to reign him in.
