Pacers Final Score: Pacers Come Back vs. Raptors 90-88

Dave Sandford

The Indiana Pacers overcame 19 turnovers, a 17-4 deficit in points off of turnovers, and a physical, talented Toronto Raptors team with a 16-4 run in the last six minutes of the fourth quarter to finish off a double digit come back, getting their season opening win on the road.

George Hill scored the team's final three points, hitting the game winning floater as part of his 8 point and 7 assist night, but it was David West who carried the Pacers on his back throughout the entire run. West had 14 of his 25 points in the final six minutes to lead the way for the Indiana Pacers. Roy Hibbert and Paul George had excellent first halves, but faded in the second. Hibbert finished with 14 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 blocks while George finished with a 14 and 15 double double.

For the Raptors, Kyle Lowry had 21 points to go with 7 boards and 8 assists in his Raptors debut, rookie Jonas Valanciunas posted a 12/10 double double of his own, Andrea Bargnani had 16, and Jose Calderon had 15 points, leading the way for Toronto late. Sitting at 1-0, the Pacers will travel to Charlotte to face the Bobcats on Friday.
