Players take some time away from the court to help those helping kids in need.

In support of National World Food Day and NBA Cares Week, the Pacers tipped off a month-long community service project this week to collect and deliver non-perishable food items for those in need. The Pacers are partnering with Levy Restaurants, Second Helpings & the Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis to help support those in need.

On Wednesday, Tyler Hansbrough, Roy Hibbert, George Hill, Orlando Johnson, Jeff Pendergraph and David West joined Boomer and some Pacemates at the Lilly Boys & Girls Club in Indianapolis to help server 125 children. The Pacers did more than just help serve food though as they took time to interact with the kids and make it a great time for everyone involved.

George Hill tweeted about his interaction with the kids as he offered some advice and inspiration.

Nice teamwork off the court.
