The Indiana Pacers started sweating in earnest as they started training camp for the 2012-13 NBA season on Tuesday.
A day after a positive media day session that included plenty of talk about high expectations and competing with the NBA's elite teams, the were left with themselves to begin working on the details to back up the talk.
According to Mike Wells, Danny Granger took it easy for the last part of the first practice to take care of his left knee, as expected. The put Sam Young in the lineup with the starters, with Frank Vogel wanting to keep his second unit together. That second unit to begin camp didn't have any surprises with newcomers, Ian Mahinmi, Gerald Green and D.J. Augustin joining Tyler Hansbrough and Lance Stephenson. Like I've mentioned before, that 10-man rotation fills up in a hurry and the current camp rotation confirmed the fact that there are a few players, including rookie Miles Plumlee, that will have to earn their minutes the hard way.
