Price adds a point presence that Lance hasn't developed yet, and I don't know about others, but I'm not interested in watching Stephenson go through his growing experience (bad play) at this point in the season. I want people to know who the Pacers are and to not forget us after we've trounced their team. I've watched every single game in the post-Brawl era, and I'm very tired of losing seasons. Franky V needs to go with what gives our team the most wins.
In my opinion, and in the small, two-game sample size we've had of his play, AJ is giving us the facilitative presence that we need from our bench point guard. He's done a MUCH better job than in years past, namely because he understands his place in the offense. His passing is very attractive, and he's not looking to create his own shot. That's a hot commodity in a point guard, especially after watching the George Hill let's-burn-20-seconds-off-the-clock-and-run-an-ISO experiment. With AJ at point and Hill running the two (where he should be and looks so dang good at), our bench has been torching our opponents
Unfortunately, we've heard Vogel say that he's interested in sticking with Lance off the bench over Price. I'd really like him to reconsider. Can someone call him and let him know how I feel? That'd be great.
In all seriousness, I want to know what people think. Should we move AJ back down the bench once Lance's ankle heals up, or should Vogel continue with Price's veteran-ish point guard presence? Since I've never done this, I'm going to put in a poll. Yep, time to vote.
