The "When Will Tyler Get An Assist" Game
Tyler Hansbrough still has not registered a single assist all year. In fact, I am not even sure if he has passed the ball when he has had it within 18 feet of the basket. And it isn't because Tyler is shooting the lights out either. Although by looking at the posts and fanposts around here you would think only Danny Granger is shooting the ball horribly, Tyler is shooting a whopping 37% while getting up 11 shots in 28 minutes off the bench.
Just so you know how bad this is, Foster has 2 assists in the 15 minutes he has played this year. Admuson also has two assists this year. D Jones has a whopping THREE!!.
So the game is simple. Pick the game Tyler will register his first assist. The winner gets a "Make a Danny Granger Trade Thread for Free" card, which means when it is put up, we have to actually take it seriously instead of going in there and hating all of humanity.
My Pick: January 20th @ Golden State.

Tyler is so good inside and drawing fouls that he shouldn’t pass until he gets doubled. I have seen all star callibur players that can’t handle Hans and thats a good thing. . .
Check out my website at www.bradwellssucks.com
come on man he is shooting 37%
it would do him a lot of good to pass the ball now and then.

I’m going to say tonight. Crazy, but it’s got that feeling like when an announcer says, “player x has made 47 straight free throws dating back to march…”. And then CLANG!!!. Brick.
And speaking of free throws, at least no-Handsbro is getting to the line and knocking them down at a freakish rate.

My scenario
My guess would be against Atlanta. He’ll drive on Josh Smith, draw another defender but not be close enough to shoot one of his “shots”, Hibbert will flash to the open spot, catch an almost accidental pass, and lay it in.

I picked GSW
because David Lee doesn’t know what defense is. He will leave someone so open that even Hans will be forced to pass him the ball.

My guess is...
the next time he fumbles the ball and it slips out of his hands and bounces to a team mate who finishes
I'd say
An air ball alley ooop to anybody

charlotte tonight.
but i am not doing this for the free trade granger post. not interested in that just yet. all i’m saying, he’s due. if i win, can i just have a free day insulting all those who are going to post a ridiculous trade granger post?
kidding about free insult.
answer: tonight. 1 assist whigh will give him an average of 0.14.
tyler hansbrough,
if you’re reading this post, fret not. someone loves you.
you were just named the most intimidating defensive presence of the indiana pacers by bleacher report. not a very credible source but some love is better than no love at all.
It's confusing, but...
… he passes the ball. He just isn’t registering assists. It’s also worth noting that NBA stat sheets are garbage at registering assists. Case in point? Didn’t Danny hit up a wide open DC who proceeded to knock down a 3? Yeah? Danny wasn’t credited with a single assist from the Boston game. Look it up.
Very good
point. I have watched T pass and the shot is missed or the person was fouled…no assists….but hey Kevin McHale was a black hole also….hopefully T turns into something close to McHale…
stat freaks
Who cares, he is doing his job taking the ball to the hole drawing fouls, his shooting precentage will go up just as Grangers and West will. Keep winning Pacers, going to be a fun ride this year
Tyler isn't thrown the ball to pass it.
He’s there to get fouled and an inside presence and I do see him rotate the ball just not when he’s close to the basket. That’s what he’s there for and that’s what the coaches want.
Guys, this is meant to be fun-ish
Stop taking everything some freaking seriously. Just make a GD guess lol

Tonight against Charlotte...
… and it’ll happen because he’ll bounce the ball off the glass so hard that the stat guys will think it was an intentional trick pass. After flying through his hands, Foster will grab the ball for an easy layup. It’ll happen just like that.
fun-ish
Aaaahh fun-ish, then I say tonight, Tyler gets triple double and Vogel moves him to the point guard spot.
LOL
the factor D. Jones only has 3 is probably worse than Hans

I'll be honest
I pretty much hate Dahntay’s game, but he’s played pretty well the last few games. I still wish he didn’t have such a big role, but the bench is pretty thin at the wings. And while I hate his game, I absolutely adore what he brings as a teammate, that’s what’s so sad about when he turns into Kobe Jones.
Sup Jello Shot?
he is fine when he is undercontrol and focusing on defense
www.themindofshadow.blogspot.com/
Well
I hate his offense but love his defense and attitude…
Hollinger had a chat today
Q: How many times does Danny Granger have to hike up a bad shot before realizing the rest of his team is in better position?
Hollinger: You misspelled “Hansbrough”
Sup Jello Shot?
Hahaha.

people love to bash Hollinger
but you’d be hard pressed to find any ESPN employee that watches more NBA basketball. You can argue his statistics til the cows come home, I think he relies on them a bit much myself, but when he’s in a (somewhat) unfiltered discussion I find myself agreeing with him much more often than not. The guy absolutely knows what he’s talking about.

At home against New York. I bet someone that DC would have more assists than Hans has total passes against Boston. I’m pretty sure I won. This thread is great.
