As expected, FIBA has approved NBA players to head overseas during the lockout. However, they must agree to come back once the lockout is over if they are currently under contract with an NBA team. Players will try to work this into their contracts regardless (as Derron Williams has), but the leverage the players are trying to gain from this should be lowered a bit with this FIBA agreement.
