What is your Pacer's Draft Board

Lets have a civilized thread where each of us posts our top 4 or 5 players we would like to see the Pacers pick at #15.  I am really interested to see how opinions vary as it seems like we are all over the board here.  Name your players in order of preference and why you think the Pacers should pick them. Here's my take:

1.) Jimmer Freddette - Safest pick in the draft if he is there at 15.  He gives us legit scoring punch in the second unit and could be clutch in end of game situations.  Gives Lance more time to grow up before we come to depend on him for minutes at the point.

2.) Marshon Brooks - I love the offensive punch he would bring to the second unit.  PG and Brooks would make an awesome SG rotation for years to come.

3.) Chris Singleton - I like his size at the three spot and his defensive intensity in the second unit.  Let's face it, SOMEBODY on the second unit is going to have to try and impede LeBron James when Granger is resting.  I am not as high on him offensively though.

4.) JaJaun Johnson - I like him because I am a Purdue homer, just to get that out of the way.  I think he can be an effective post up scorer against other bench players and he is very active on defense.  I think we are bringing back McRoberts, but we will still be thin in the frontcourt.  I consider this the alamo in terms of the Pacers draft choices though and i am seriously considering trading down if JJ is all that is left at 15.

If Bismack or Triston Thompson are available, they’re my first choice.

This is close to my list

I might have Brooks ahead of Singleton…as long as Marshon can add 5-10lbs. and improve his defense.

I also think I’d add Burks in there with Bismack and Thompson as long shots to fall to us, but hope they do.

And I’d throw Markeiff in there ahead of Faried and Jackson…and replace Goudelock with JJJ (Jajuan Johnson) b/c I know nothing about Goudelock.

I almost forgot about Markeiff

I’d stick him between darius Morris and Faried. Goudelock is a guy I would like to get in the 2nd round. He’s a 6’2 combo guard who lights out shooter from just about anywhere on the floor. very underrated.

If he can defend and maybe develop enough passing...

…to make some entry passes to Hibbert or hit a cutting Granger, George, or McBob (if he’s still here).

Sorry, didn't finish my thought...

…if he can do those things I’d be all for it….seems like we could trade down and get him though.

I presume these are guys we presume to be available at 15.

Tristan Thompson
Chris Singleton
Marshon Brooks
Darius Morris
Bismack Biyombo ( I put him last because I don’t think he’ll be there)

These guys would all please me, wouldn’t have a problem with any of them.

Thug Life. It's a Pacers thing, you wouldn't get it.

I agree with this list.

But realistically only Brooks and Darius might be left. I’d also be OK with Jimmer, but would rather have Brooks.

Let me make an adjustment

Yeah, the more I see clips of Brooks the more I am all for getting him, even at #15. It would be nice also to trade for lower pix of Singleton or Faried and J Tyler for damn sure in the 2nd. Brooks backing or playing along side with George??!! WOW!!! PLUS his 7 ft wingspan…OMG! This could be the ultimate nightmare for many opposing coaches. IF we can trade to get Faried that would be a cool move but I think the Pacers would be doing a SOLID by drafting Jeremy Tyler as a PF & C….6-11, 265lbs. Can hit from the outside, pick & rolls, rebound, BLOCK SHOTS!

Move up to get Tyler

I love the idea of moving up to get Tyler via trade, as long as we still retain the 15th pick of course………..or a scenario where we ditch the 15th pick and retain the 42nd and move back in the late first round, that is if decent options are no longer available by the 15th pick. My draft board looks like: Marshon, Jimmer, Montiajunas, and maybe Thompson, and that’s it, period, around #15. All the other players that may be available at that time I don’t see as being worthy of a #15 pick. I don’t see Jimmer getting past Utah, Sacramento, or Phoenix (1 of those teams will snatch him). So that leaves Marshon and Montiajunas. Who knows what will happen between now and the draft. A team like Milwaukee may snatch Marshon or could take Burks. It wouldn’t shock me to see Washington take Marshon either. If Utah takes Jimmer, Pheonix may take Montiajunas. If that happens the Pacers should attempt to ditch the #15 pick for a later 1st round pick and some much welcomed cap space for next season.
