The NBA is like baseball in that teams are willing to make moves to strengthen their teams, even if it means trading a superstar to do it. Look for several deals over the next couple weeks as teams look to make improvements to their rosters.

Utah signed Al Jefferson after last season, but the big man didn't play up to expectations and this was despite averaging 18.6 points and 9.7 rebounds per game for the Jazz. Utah fans and the front office were expecting the numbers he put up in Minnesota a couple of years ago when he averaged over 23 points and 11 rebounds per contest.

Jefferson would fit in better in the Eastern Conference, and rumors have swirled that Utah and Indiana have talked about a trade that would send the big man to the Pacers for Danny Granger and Dahntay Jones.

Granger could flourish as the top scorer for the Jazz and Jefferson would be a force on the inside for the Pacers. Granger has averaged over 20 points per game for the last three seasons and Jones would add some depth to the bench of the Jazz.

This is one of those deals that would benefit both teams, so it will be interesting to see if the talks heat up anymore over the next week leading up to the NBA Draft.
