Kelvin Sampson To Interview For Houston Rockets' Coaching Vacancy

Stay connected for news and updates

Former Indiana University head coach, Kelvin Sampson is reportedly among the candidates to be interviewed for the vacant head coaching position with the Houston Rockets.

Milwaukee assistant coach Kelvin Sampson, who served as head coach at Indiana and Oklahoma before moving to the NBA, is expected to meet with Rockets general manager Daryl Morey Tuesday.

Sampson, who habitually violated NCAA rules as a head coach, leaving a mess in his wake at both Oklahoma and IU, found refuge on the bench in the NBA as an assistant coach and is currently working with Scott Skiles in Milwaukee. So three years later, Tom Crean continues trudging through the clean-up process down in Bloomington while Sampson continues skating through his hoops life with minimal consequence for the major damage of his past sins.
