First off the Pacers have played great so far. It's tough to lose the first two games like that, but they've obviously shown that they are going to be a force in the NBA for years to come. And for all the trash talk about the fouls...it sucks, but goes both ways. Me being a Pacers fan I've noticed the crappy calls against us (like the put back dunk George had and they called an offensive foul on Foster or the no call on Rose fouling Price on his three attempt), but the reffing has been overall bad for both teams.
I think it was Doc Rivers that said a series doesn't really start until a team wins a playoff game on the road. So hopefully the Pacers can handle there business at home and upset the bulls at home for game 5. But I am so impressed with Paul George playing multiple minutes and guarding Rose the majority of the time. Lets be honest, we're not going to hold Rose under 20. He's doing as good of job as almost anyone in the league could do. When he figures out how to play a consistent offensive game watch out. He can already guard the 1,2, and 3. I'd like to see a little more of Dahntay Jones guarding Rose when Paul's not in.
If we can keep our bigs out of foul trouble and Danny starts to turn it on by ATTACKING the lane like he claimed he was going to do, there's no reason we can't win 2 or more games this series. If we get to the free throw line more we can do some damage to the Bulls weak bench.I thought it was funny that Rose had 2 fouls in the first quarter and ended up with 3 I believe. I know the kid is good, but he's done nothing yet. Heck he hasn't technically won the MVP yet. The ref's are treating him like MJ already, which is frustrating.
Before I start rambling more I heard one of the announcers talking about if Lebron played on this Pacers team rather than Cleveland, he would have won atleast 1 or 2 titles. Obviously the time frame doesn't match up, just kind of interesting. And also did anyone hear Korver ask Barkley how tall he really was? He said 6 foot 4 and some change. If that is actually true..wow. Also I love when Fosters gets called for a foul and just smiles when he knows it isn't a foul. He's such a smart vet, every time he gets a charge call I love it.
