As the Pacers struggles continue, reports have come out that Chuck Person may be an ideal fit for this young Pacers team next year (the link is below). I really like what Coach Frank Vogel has done with this team, even with the struggles as of late. I also think that Coach Vogel would excel with this team if he had more time to implement more of his own strategies through practice in the off-season. However, a guy like Chuck Person would interest me as well!
The Indiana Pacers will continue to fight for a playoff spot, starting tonight against Kevin Love and the Minnesota Timberwolves. Tyler Hansbrough and Love (if he plays..he is questionable for tonight's game) should be one heck of a matchup and I expect many bumps and bruises after this one. With the Pacers focus on the playoffs and what they have to do to get there, will the mention of a new coach next year cause distraction? Coach Vogel has done a good job keeping the players focused (until recently, really), so I am confident he will keep their eyes on the prize. A lot can happen between now and the off-season, but what are your thoughts on Coach Vogel and his future with the Pacers? Would you like to see what he is capable of as the head coach through an entire season/off-season? Let me know in the comments...
