IC Cold Links: Pacers finish up their weekend trip in Texas tonight against the Houston Rockets

As Nathan points out, the effort was there last night against the Dallas MavericksDirk Nowitzki, Jason Terry and Co. are one of the hotter teams in the NBA right now, and with Nowitzki's play last night it would have been difficult for any team to pull out a W.  There was positive overall demeanor after a terrible outing against the Thunder.  I love the way the good squad brings the Indiana Pacers back in games, but am I the only one who worries because this has tuned into a trend?

Anyways, the Indiana Pacers will look to leave Texas after tonight's game with a 1-1 record for the weekend.  They will have to do so against the Houston Rockets.  As pointed out below, Hoosier Courtney Lee has seen his playing time increased since the deadline trades the Rockets made.  Also, watch for Chase Buddinger tonight, as his play has elevated since the deadline.

After the jump check out the links of the day.  Also, the Pacers are now in the midst of a tough rut since they came out of the gates strong under Coach Frank Vogel.  What do you guys think is the reasoning?  Is it the difficult stretch of games recently, the "new coach high" is gone, or another factor?  Let me know what you guys think as we all look forward to tonight's game!

Youth hurts.

I live in DFW and after seeing last nights game, I do like what I see. Unlike last time the Pacers came to Dallas this was much more uptempo.

What I didn’t like was a lot of missed second chance points. points off turnovers and boards. Could be a stat topic? The guards in general didn’t handle the ball particularly well. The box score wasn’t too bad except the +/- numbers. Some of the fouls that I saw called were ticky-tacky or ridiculous.

I’ve heard that the loss of Dunleavy was huge and I’m starting to agree. He would have been useful in a game like last night to spread the floor. Peja and Derk opened up the floor for them. Then all the youth, way too much right now, but a good learning experience none the least.

Its common sense… if the bench is bringing you back into games then more of the bench should be starting and playing the majority of minutes…

and you can easily start right here...

7.8ppg on 6.5 shots (40% shooting), 3.5 rpg, 0.6 apg

HOW IS HE STILL STARTING? Or playing for that matter. was, is, and will always be worthless

Hansbrough

is 9/29 in the last two games. The game before, the win over Golden State, he shot 50%. We don’t stand a chance when Tyler’s shot is off
