Alright I'm going to make this short and simple, thanks to a certain sweep (that is also payback for all the Bobcats fans who were for Duke in last season's NCAA finals) the Pacers have now for the most part knocked Gun Jack (AKA Stephen "Just Shoot Me" Jackson) and the Bobcats out of the playoffs.  Now I think it's pretty safe to say the Pacers only competition for the playoffs is the Milwaukee Bucks who are also 4 games back from the Pacers for the 8th playoff spot in the East and have a tougher schedule ahead of them with more away games then the Pacers and play the Pacers before the regular season ends.  So I know this is stupid but should us hoosiers be in fear of a deer bucking us out of the playoffs?  Something else worthy of mention that was predicted assuming the Pacers wouldn't have landed DC this season is that SportingNews Magazine had the Pacers ranked second to the bottom in NBA records for this season behind the T-Wolves.
