Did yesterday actually happen? While setting the starters for tonight's game it was kind of strange to think that for a few minutes yesterday, 40% of the Indiana Pacers' starting lineup was headed out of town, but now everything is back to normal as if nothing happened. Well, nothing did happen although something happened.
Regardless, the Pacers host the Utah Jazz tonight so the key is for the Pacers is to at least play like nothing happened, The Jazz coming still adjusting to a far more jarring shake up that did indeed happen when Deron Williams was suddenly shipped to New Jersey shortly after legendary coach Jerry Sloan even more suddenly stepped down.
New Jazz faces, Devin Harris and Derrick Favors should be availble tonight, I'm assuming off the bench. After seeing the Nets a couple of times already this season, here's hoping Favors gets plenty of run tonight. Kid is a freak of nature, but not yet an NBA basketball player.
Speaking of young talent, Brownsburg native and Butler alum Gordon Hayward makes his professional debut tonight at the Fieldhouse. I'm sure there will be plenty of Bulldog and, well, Bulldog fans in the building supporting Hayward who has been getting decent minutes off the bench for the Jazz.
With the Jazz in transition, the Pacers have another great opportunity to continue their winning ways and try to log their third three-game winning streak under new coach Frank Vogel.
