I am hardcore Pacers fan and have been for several years. I want to trade Danny Granger. I think Danny is a great leader and a solid top 25 player in the league, but I think you can find a player similar to Danny in the league. Also, the one thing about Danny's game that bothers me is he doesn't like to put the ball on the floor as much and settles too often for jump shots. Anyways, I want to explore the possibilities with New Jersey. If they offered their #1 and Favors for Granger, I would do it in a heartbeat. Favor and Hibbert together would be beastly. Then with the extra cap room, I think we could replace Granger easily with Wilson Chandler. He's a more athletic version of Danny, plays better Defense, and puts the ball on the floot. His shot improves every year too. If we don't get Chandler, we could possibly draft T Jones from Kentucky, a future starter at the 3. Also, we could sign D West with the extra money because he wants out of New Orleans (ownership in question and Chris Paul will leave.) Look at this lineup:
Subs-Hansbro, Rush, Stephenson, McRoberts, Two First Rounders. With a new coach who relates to younger players (Vogel, Mike Brown, Mark Jackson, etc.) and a possible new GM (I pray for Kevin Pritchard), how could you not be excited about this lineup. I just think people in Indiana overrate Granger a little bit. Hes a great player, but he is not irreplaceable. I'd rather have Favors and Chandler. Favors looks to me like a full time starter and possible All Star. Hes huge and so young. And think what we could get with those first rounders? Harrison Barnes, T Jones, Two Europeans, Jimmer, Jordan Hamilton, John Henson, etc.
