Mike Dunleavy to Sign with the Bucks

Source:

Adrian Wojnarowski Free agent forward Mike Dunleavy will sign a two year, $7.5 million deal with the Milwaukee Bucks, league source tells Y! Sports.

Dunleavy started off his Indiana Pacers' career with a bang, averaging a career high19 ppg on career high 47% shooting while playing the full 82 games. Unfortunately he was never able to match that production again for the Pacers.

I always thought Dunleavy was a decent player who was just paid way too much. The offense did seem to run better with him on the court last year.

I won't miss him though. He has been overpaid for years, is a horrid defender, and is constantly hurt. And, fair or not, every time I saw him on the court, it reminded me of that awful trade that netted Dunleavy, Diogu, and Murphy and cap strapped us for years.

Best of luck to him, when he isn't playing the Pacers.

imagine if Duneleavy gets on fire aginst us like he did with the Nuggets

he might come back and hurt the Pacers, the bucks could definitely use his offensive skills, 2 years for 7.5 mil is not a bad deal for him at all. Good for the bucks.

or

imagine George blowing by him and dunking on Bogut’s face.

Who cares

The Pacers don’t need another SF, this move of not bothering re-signing Mike Doneleaving WILL NEVER BE LOOKED AT AS A MISTAKE BY THE FRONT OFFICE. The Pacers have too many SF’s locked up long-term and Dunleavy can’t play SG. When he averaged 19 PPG and was the Pacers second leading scorer the team was playing Danny Granger at SG and Dunleavy at SF. But you are right 2 years for 7.5 mill isn’t a bad deal for Dunleavy.

I almost wish the Pacers had signed him for that contract...

…but bygones be bygones. I can’t believe Pats’ prophecy about Mike “Dunleaving” (isn’t “Doneleaving” the opposite of what you want to say, Pats?) came to past. No one else had a clue his departure was a possibility.

And he plays the exact same position as Danny Granger

Mike Doneleaving was the last player the Pacers needed to sign. He couldn’t play the SG position and the Pacers have too many players locked up long-term who can play SF. Not bothering to sing Mike Doneleaving only because he can only play SF was a good move on Bird’s part. Plus he played for Duke the poop that makes you wanna puke. But I will give credit where credit is due, although he clearly is no longer wanted by the Pacers, Dunleavy is a good player at the SF position and should be a good pick up for the Bucks since they have the Gun Jack AKA Stephen “Just Shoot Me” Jackson to lose all their big games for them.

Dunleavy was good, he just didn't fit in with the Pacers

Now as much as I’ve hated Mike Doneleaving when he was a Pacer since he was the worst SG the Pacers have had since Stephen “Just Shoot Me” Jackson, I will say this he is a good player when positioned at SF. He was just a bad acquisition for the Pacers because he never could play shooting guard and since SF is the same position Danny Granger and basically Paul Goerge play he just never was the player the Pacers needed. Oh well he should fit in well in Milwaukee since they now officially have Stephen “Just Shoot Me” Jackson to lose a bunch of big games for them at the SG position. Plus to make matters worst, when the Pacers drafted Brandon Rush he also could play SF.

All I gotta say to that is good bye Doneleaving hope the Bucks are smart enough to play you at the SF position and not SG.

Goodbye Doneleavy, you and TJ Ford have officially been replaced by George Hill (at least thus far)

Have fun with the Gun Jack AKA Stephen “Just Shoot Me” Jackson. Hope the Bucks are smart enough not to play you at SG

It’s official Mike Doneleavy is officially Doneleaving the Pacers for the Bucks and will never ever ever ever ever ever be a part of the Pacers organization again!!!!!!!!
