Moving Granger
Just a thought guys...Don't Crush me over this, but it could happen.....Maybe. Yes, No?
Since it seems bleek on us getting Nene or Gasol or it seems that talks have settled to they are going to resign with they're previous teams. We sign Aaron Affalo, Shane Battier, then go head and resign Foster and get that Greg Smith cat from Fresno as a reserver PF/C. We then trade Granger/Posey for Milsap/Okur (works out on trade machine) We would be a athletic defensive team with some vetern leader to add to the "Core", not to mention our depth. The new line up would look like:
PG Collison/Lance/Price
SG Affalo/Hill/D.Jones
SF George/Battier/Rush
PF Milsap/Tyler/Smith
C Hibbert/Foster/Okur
We would still be interchangable with Paul at the 2, Hill at the 1, Battier at the 3 and other combinations with our back court. With a solid front court. With a strong emphasis on defense and balanced scoring.

I wouldn't trade Granger...
Until the deadline at the earliest. I would want to be sure that the young guys on the team show they can replace Granger’s consistent scoring. Plus, Granger offers a valuable level of versatility that those other guys can’t.

Ewww...Granger for Milsap is awful value on a trade in my opinion.

Milsap is not even a top 10 power forward in the league
he’s just too physically limited compared to the power forwards in this league.
Power forwards that are better: Bosh, Griffin, Love, Aldridge, Stoudemire, Boozer, P. Gasol, Odom, Ibaka, Randolph, and you could throw in Al Hordford as well. All of those guys are all relatively young or in their prime and Milsap will probably never be better than any of them, so I just don’t see the hype about a 6’7" power forward.
Danny Granger is arguable a top 5 small forward in this league.

It's hard to remember that Boozer is good.
That screaming is just so annoying that you want him to suck (though he did against us in the playoffs). Man I wish Ibaka was available, that be a freaking dream.

I keep having nightmare's on that eventful night in 2008
when we picked Brandon Rush instead of Serge Ibaka, Larry really missed on that pick. Imagine getting both Roy and Ibaka on the same draft day, we wouldn’t even be discussing about Nene, or Milsap, or Landry( EeeeWwww!!!). instead our front court would be set for years to come.

SPREEEEE!!!
Man, I know size matters to an extent. Remember Charles Barkely (my man) was only 6-5, 260lb and he even played center at times. Dennis Rodman, 6-7, 225lb, Charles Oakley 6-8, 245lbs…NO! SAP isnt Barkely, but he seems to be the closest thing to a young version of West and the cat can play. Saw him burn up Griffin and Aldridge last season and did a good job holding his own agaist them. I would love to see Nene come here, but cant see it happening. West is too shaky right now and any other FA’s PFs available seems impossible to sign. Now if we can sign Aaron and send him to Utah for Milsap that would be nice.

I love Millsap
I’ve been about trading for him for two years now, ask about me. But NO WAY is your trade equal value. You only want Millsap in a salary dump, point-blank. I mean, if they would’ve tossed in the second of their two picks last year and Hayward I may have considered it. But essentially Granger for Millsap is us getting screwed. Millsap’s very good, but he’s not that special. Same can be said for Granger, but he’s our only proven consistent offensive player. That’s hard to replace.

I agree Granger for Millsap's crap value
But Granger for Millsap + 1st + Hayward is pie in the sky stuff
Sup Jello Shot?
Well, you gotta ask...
The Pacers were good under Vogel, and are probably quite a bit above .500 (like somewhere in the 35+ win category this year) with their current roster. No reason to tinker unless you’re getting great value and youth.

we are going to lose a few guys though
plus, the east is rapidly improving. Last year with Melo, Stoudemire, and Deron Williams all migrating to the east, not to mention a fast improving John Wall, standing pat is not a good idea!!!!

it's a different era
how many successful undersize power forwards are there today? NONE!!!! Why do you think scouts are so obsessed about height and wing span more so now a days? Its been proven over and over that size wins championships, Barkely and Oakley never won any title, and Rodman was on some of the best teams in history, but 95% of the time, the team that wins is the one that’s bigger and more physically imposing. Bro, you can’t really be serious about comparing Milsap to Blake Griffin and Aldridge right? come on, those guys are legit all star, all nba caliber, Milsap will never ever reach that plateau no matter how much he improves or no matter how hard he works, you simply can’t teach height.

Don’t like that at all. We lose our main scoring option and that was our problem last year. We need a guy that can create his own shot (I’m also hoping Lance shows us what he can do this year), and a defensive PF.
I’d love to get Nene, since he can play both PF/C. I just wouldn’t go over $11M/yr for him. He’s not even a great rebounder. Barely 8 boards/game and he played over 30 mins at the C position. That’s what Hibbert gives us.
And it's now my sig
