Kevin Martin
Anyone interested and at what price?
He was almost traded to New Orleans in that now infamous Chris Paul to Los Angeles Lakers trade. Unfortunately for Martin, it was vetoed by the supreme overlord of the NBA Mr. David Stern. He was left to wonder how much the Houston Rockets really value his services and whether he will be part of the Rockets in the long run. I understand he was and still is a bit "concerned" to say the least. Guess that's how Rush and McRoberts felt last February. At any rate, just want to gauge how much interest the Pacer fan base has on Kevin Martin and what they are willing to offer to get his services.

A lot
I always thought Martin could be perfect in Indiana and could be the next SG after reggie.
But he’s got a tone of injuries and can’t stay on the court so I would try lo land him here.
If it’s for a 1st and cap space it’s ok but not for much.
With this team?
Not really interested in him. Where would he get the minutes? Are we going to trade Danny for him? Is that really worthwhile? They provide fairly identical stats, except DG rebounds and defends better. I think Kevin Martin would take away from the lineup, rather than help it. I just don’t see a place for him.

It would probably cost us Granger
That’s too much. I’d do it if they threw back a first rounder with him, or somebody with hella upside like Patterson or Morris. But otherwise, no.

No Thanks
Like MT31, I like Martin, but not sure he would be a good fit on this team. I don’t know who we could offer up aside from DG. No chance Martin is any where near Danny’s level.
I think Martin might be a better pure scorer right now than Danny.
Can create his own shot a little better (or atleast works the screen game better and is just as good a shooter).
But, Danny is only on the hook for a little more money and is worth it for his better defense and size as well as his value as a life long Pacer (so far).
The fact that Danny is going to make a million more next year and then K-mart comes off the books a year sooner than Danny…that might be enough to consider a straight up trade, Danny for Kevin. I love Danny, but with the guys on our team needing new contracts soon, you have to wonder if Danny will be worth the $13 and $14mil. he’ll be owed in the following two seasons.
For now, I’m going to agree with everyone else. K-mart would cost us Danny, and I’m not sure that Houston would do it straight up, and I’d want something else which I’m almost positive they wouldn’t consider.

keep danny
danny was a gem when we had nothing but rocks, all the weight fell on his shoulders when there was no one willing to carry it——-he deserves to be here—-his game will adjust to what the team needs, I am confident.
