The Indiana Pacers look to open the season with three straight wins when they host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday evening.
The Cavs have several familiar faces but not many fearful faces as they move through a LeBron-induced youth movement. Kyrie Irving leads the Cavs into a new era as the NBA's top pick in last June's draft. Byron Scott has put the team in the rook's hands as the starting point guard after letting Baron Davis run off to New York. The Cavs are 1-1 against the same opponents the Pacers have played, losing their opener at home to Toronto and then beating the Detroit on the road by 16 points.
The Pacers will have to slow down Antawn Jamison but the Blue and Gold should once again have a front court advantage to lean on if all else fails. The Pacers are due to make some shots so hopefully they can get some home cooking going and continue rolling through their early schedule which has been favorable in both opponents and days off.
