D Howard For Hibbert, Granger, D Jones, Draft Picks
If we want to be relevant this season, we need a REAL IMPACT player like Dwight Howard.
As the saying goes, "strike while the iron is hot", let's try our luck with Howard while the
rumor mill is still grinding. Let's more than match the Net's offer, by trading Hibbert, Granger,
D Jones and/or AJ Price plus draft picks. This should take us deeper into the playoffs.
And later on down the road, grab Gordon for Collison and/or G Hill and draft pick.
This dream team will surely contend for CHAMPIONSHIP !!!
Then we would have the following roster:
Center - Howard, Foster, Pendergraph
PF - West, Hansbrough, Amundson
S F - P George, Free Agent
S G - Gordon, Free Agent
P G - Lance S, Free Agent

what are you smoking?
I sincere want you are smoking! Wow! First, Dwight Howard would have to want to sign an extension with us …. newsflash he doesn’t want to … Second, so the Magic get a borderline all-star, a guy who isn’t anywhere near an all-star (hibbert), D. Jones which isn’t worth much, and draft picks which will all be in the middle of the first round … THAT is what you propose the magic take for the Pacers? Seriously think before you post this BS next time …
Smoking??
Do you have a better idea?
Why don’t you share it with us, instead of
talking trash
that trade was farfetched
maybe actionajck’s response was a bit harsh, but you kind of had it coming

Better Idea ...
My better idea ………… drum roll please ……. Proposing trade ideas that are realistic … If Indiana wants all-star caliber players they will have a hell of a time attracting them to this small market. Most times their recourses are to trade for them with many years left on their contract, draft them, or sign guys who are originally from around here and want to come home (i.e. Eric Gordon, Hayward, D West who played at Xavier, etc). Howard has already voiced his opinion that he wants to go to a Big Market for the notoriety, money, and glamor that comes with it, which has been indicated to be Chicago, LA, New York, Brooklyn, or maybe even Dallas.) He would gladly take a trade anywhere for a year, BUT HE is going to pick where he signs longterm … PLEASE NOTE it’s not trash talking if it’s based on facts and reality. Your trade idea honestly didnt have any validity and wouldn’t happen …. It’s not mean to say it .. it’s just how it is … You suffer from the same problem that other fans have outside of Indiana who want the Pacers to trade Danny Granger for 2 bench players, a first round draft pick/trade exception, and a new lawnmower…. Its just not reality

No way in hell this happens..
First Howard would not agree to an extension here due to him wanting a big market to sell himself, plus dabble in some acting.
Secondly he wants no where near Chicago as Rose has the same shoe deal he does. Rose owns the Midwest market, and he know he can’t compete.
All this trade you suggested does is gut this team moving forward after this already shorten season. Besides all that, Orlando would not agree to it IMO.
the stars aligned for that
Roy’s an affable guy that plays for the Pacers and Parks & Recreation’s “based” in Indiana. I don’t think Dwight wants to be an actor or anything, but I assume his plans for self marketing are a bit bigger than a couple cameos on an NBC Thursday night sitcom.

5 games
is how long we are supposed to wait before we come up with trade granger scenarios. Also the magic would probably laugh at this trade.
this would never EVER happen
let’s talk about realistic trades

5 games
maybe you did not know. we wait 5 games before we start a granger trade fanpost otherwise it will be vetoed by stern
Honestly...
We should wait for longer than 5 games. Our schedule (first 5) almost make it impossible to evaluate. Just my two cents.
i agree.
i’d rather wait for the end of the season. give him a year with this team. besides, hard to do a 5 game evaluation. majority of our 1st 20 games will be on the road to begin with plus the new guys didn’t have much time to know the system.
Same here
At the very least, we should wait until the deadline, before we try trading the Pacers best overall player in the last 5 years. Right now, if this was an 82 game season, and the Pacers are 11-10, and we’re losing to teams we should be beating, then yeah I can see us moving him. And I’m gonna break the rule, but IF we move him which I am against, we should try for Gordon. George can play the 3 and the way he looked during the “pre-season” I have the utmost faith in George to take over that spot. Just not now.
Fairly certain they would demand PG.
Especially since those draft picks would end up being late first round. Of course, this is all for naught as Howard has zero interest in going anywhere that won’t make him more marketable.

Never Happen
Magic would never consider this trade & also I think without a long term commitment from Howard why would the pacers consider this trade? Indy isn’t near LA or NY so for the time being just all together eliminate the idea of the Pacers being able to trade for a Superstar. The Pacers are moving in the right direction try and trying to develop superstars. Our owner is rich enough to pay. As long as we follow the J.O. rule and don’t give a “good” player "superstar " money then we should stay competitive and ready to contend.

Gordon isn’t coming here. The owner has a firm policy to not go after RFA, which is what he’ll be next year. We’d have to trade for him.
Don’t really care for the trade.
And it's now my sig

chances of us getting howard
are very very slim. Pacers wont do it unless he does wat paul did and agrees not to opt out after this year. The pacers have young talent. It would probably take granger, collison, hibbert and picks. Probably have to get a bad team involved so the magic would get a lotto pick. I dont think it makes us that much better. Its nice to see some peoples glass are half full though. ha
I would say
The chances Indy gets Howard is 0. He has only a few teams, and even if we traded for him and actually got him, he is in NO WAY signing a long term deal. No way no how. I’d rather have Hibbert anyways. He’s gonna be good this year.
