Mayo Trade Being Stalled by Crawford -- Supposedly

Stay connected for news and updates

I'm not sure how legitimate this guy is: http://twitter.com/#!/TheRocketGuy

Since Hoopsworld did prematurely report the Mayo trade, take this report with a grain of salt.

Ingram is reporting:

Apparently the possibility that Jamal Crawford might sign with Indiana is holding up the OJ Mayo trade . . .

Indiana has asked for some decisions to be made from other players they're chasing . . .and Mayo is the fall back plan . . .

This guy could just be trying to cover his a$$ on that failed Mayo report, or he could be seeking more attention, but this is an interesting scenario. Maybe the Pacers really want Crawford more than Mayo. I haven't wanted Crawford much, but he would be better suited to come off of the bench with the second unit than Mayo. Crawford would surely get 25-30 minutes per game coming off the bench, a role he would hopefully be okay with -- if we're looking to keep Paul George as our starting 2-guard.
