Former Butler star, Matt Howard was just breaking a sweat in his professional career when he suffered a setback, injuring his foot just 43 seconds into his playing rotation in his second game with Olympiacos in Piraeus, Greece.
According to Sportando, Howard's injury required minor surgery and is expected to keep him sidelined for three weeks. The good news is that Olympiacos only plays one game per week, so Howard won't be tormented for too many games by having to sit on the sidelines in street clothes. After his prolific concussion last year, the Butler medical staff had to hold Howard out for one game which drove him nuts.
The good news for Howard is that he is part of the playing rotation for Olympiacos. In the team's first game, a loss to
Bizkaia Bilbao, Howard played almost 16 minutes, scoring two points. While his shot wasn't dropping, Howard didn't hesitate to pull the trigger, squeezing off three 3-point attempts while on the floor.
