FREE DARREN COLLISON

As a fan of the Pacers I can’t understand what in the world is JOB doing when it comes to Darren Collison. I have watched this kid since before his UCLA days and to see what Coach O'Brien is doing with him makes me wonder why Larry Bird doesn’t get involved and demand a change. First of all Bird goes to the trouble of trading for this young promising PG. Secondly once the deal was made Bird himself said publicly this is the point guard the Pacers need the piece me have been missing. Thirdly both him and O’Brien were upset and done with TJ Ford (well they were last year). Now with that being said what is the Pacers thinking when it come to Collison.

Jim O'Brien decides the play TJ just as many minutes as Collison at the beginning of the season and even decides to publicly say that he prefers to have TJ in the game down the stretch because he’s has so much more experience. (My goodness O’Brien so you would rather play an average PG that will never be any better than he is right now than to play a good PG with the potential to be great one day and Bird sits there and watch this, come on. Here’s one to prove my point Collison is the type of person who is good natured and easy to coach. He will pretty much just fall into line but he reacted to O’Brien’s fourth quart benching a month back when JOB first decide to play TJ in front of him and then after TJ couldn’t get the job done he put in Price. I can only image how Collison fell. I realize the NBA can be hard place but the kid has serious talent why would someone want to mess with his head like that. The Pacers truly need to let DC out of his cage, they should give him the freedom of running this team, personally I trust his Basketball knowledge more than I trust JOB’s strange move the ball system. Believe me I know the Pacers have more problems on this team than just the way DC is being handled BUT COME ON LARRY LEGEND THIS PROBLEN HAS A EASY FIX PLEASE LET YOUR BRIGHT POINT GUARD OUT OFF O’BRIEN’S CAGE. FREE THE BIRD, BIRD!!!
