Lets be realistic
We have a good core
It seem as if we are never satisfied
I think we have a great point guard, a great small foward and a top 5 Center and yet a lot of our fans are hoping for a blockbuster trade that will get us a superstar that will catapult us to the finals. The fact is that there are no superstars on the market than would do that for us or any other other team. As a matter of fact none of them on the market are better than Granger. We dont need to rebuild because we are rebuilding(duh). We can find pieces like in Cleveland to give our core some help. A lot of our losses lie in J.O.Bstyle of coaching. Lets not forget this. I think that Ford and Posey for Iggy would push us over the top in the playoff race. But we dont need a superstar, we have enough players to win by team play and better coaching.

Why in the world would Philadelphia trade Iggy for Ford and Posey?
First of all, they have stated publicly they aren’t trading him or Brand. Second of all even if they are trying to dump salary they aren’t going to just give him away.

While I agree that this trade sucks for Philly...
Them saying they aren’t trading Iguodala and Brand sounds like reverse psychology to me. Why on Earth wouldn’t they trade them? They’ve got a crap-load of money wrapped up next year and for all they know, they’ll be in some serious trouble with the new CBA. If the Pacers agreed to take back another bad contract that’s not part of their long-term plans (like Louis Williams) and send back expiring contracts plus a draft pick, wouldn’t it make too much sense to pass up trading Iguodala? Their core is Jrue Holiday, Evan Turner and whatever draft picks they can accumulate between now and next season. I don’t see why they wouldn’t consider Dunleavy, Ford, Rush and our first rounder for Iguodala and Williams. Don’t know if it’s in our best interest, given the CBA, but they’d have to at least think about it.

I agree, we have a good core. We are rebuilding and I think we are a player (and a coach) away from having a pretty good team. I’m not sure who should be coaching the Pacers but we definitely need a change there, assistants included.
