The Indiana Pacers finish up their road trip tonight against the Denver Nuggets at The Pepsi Center.
Who could forget the Pacers win over the Nuggets in Indy earlier this year? It was the outlier game of the year without doubt. The 54-point third quarter and 144-point game seem like an impossible task to repeat for the team we see today. Consider last night, the Pacers only scored 39 points in the second half, which makes 85 points for the game tonight far more likely than the 85 points they scored in the second half back in November.
The Pacers are in complete grind mode, but who knows what they'll have in the tank tonight. Looking forward to landing back at home after a brutal road trip is never a good factor. Plus, the Nuggets will have those gaudy November numbers by the Pacers on their mind so you'd think the mind-set factor should definitely favor Denver.
But of course, Carmelo Anthony and trade rumors have put the Nuggets into a mental realm few teams have had to endure for so long in the middle of a season. They seem to have adjusted to the madness of late with plenty of talent to help overcome the destractions, Denver has won four of their last six games and remain a playoff team in the Western Conference.
