This trade, at least to me, makes a lot of sense for both teams. With the recent resurgence of NY as a probable playoff team and destination for quality free agents, I believe the Pacers could help NY while helping themselves.
Pacers get young, promising talent and can just waive Curry, AND we'd still have T.J. Ford and Mike Dunleavy coming off the books during the offseason or even more trade bait for another contending team.
Knicks get a robin to Amare Stoudemire's batman in Granger, intangibles and defense in Jones and foster. I'd definately throw Rush and maybe a first rounder in to sweeten the deal
Now, I know that a lot of people don't want to give up on Granger and this isn't the case. It is a move for the future. It creates space for young talent and possible leaders to rise and claim this team as their own. Granger is a good player but he'll never be the go-to leader this team needs, that is why he needs to go, for us and himself. Collison could be that leader, or maybe Hibbert if he ever gets his head back into the game. We need to stock up on talent (and a new coach, but we've all heard enough about JOB). So what does everyone think?
