danny granger - not that good/never was

i'm sure some will scream blasphemy at this, but I don't think granger was ever that good of a player.  every single time i see us losing some game we should have won, i look at granger's stats and sure enough it's 3 for 15 or some crap for 8 points.

the truth is that the only reason granger ever averaged near 26 ppg was because no one else on our team could.  it doesn't make him a great player, he's just the only player worth two cents on a crappy team.  now we're seeing the true granger when other people are capable scorers.  you have guys like rush and hansborough having 25+ point games, even collison getting up there on occaision.  it just goes to show that granger's success was largely in part to the fact that there was no one else to shoot the ball.

trade granger while people are still fooled, but not for another player - draft picks only.  for that matter see what you can get for hibbert, and throw in dunleavy.  maybe we can get two or three picks this draft with one in the lottery and for once have a legitimate star on our team.
