FIBA World Championships Game 6: USA vs. Angola
Team USA is back in action on this Labor Day holiday, playing their first game in the one-and-done medal round of the FIBA World Championships against Angola. Danny Granger should some time off the bench assuming the U.S. team handles Angola as expected.
The game is slated to air on ESPN2 at 11:00AM so if you are watching the game share your thoughts in the comments.

Team USA looking a lot better in this one
wonder if coach k will keep the starters in longer being that they’re playing so well right now.
Granger look lost out there
Getting lots of PT but not showing up. Can’t find his shot. Looks lost on defense. Motor generally seems low.
Interesting
Against this weak competition, it’s pretty easy to see the gap between the top tier players on our team and the second/third tier players. Durant, Rose, Billups (even Love) just dominate these guys in a way that Granger, Odom, Chandler, Curry, and Gay don’t.
I think a lot of it is the international game, too
But Durantula, Rose, and Billups are just that good…I think Love’s style of play is suited to the international game. Danny Granger hasn’t been very impressive to me. I though Curry would play better…and I think Rudy Gay has been playing well.

Refs are ready to go.
Only serious hacks getting a whistle at this point.
