3 way trade idea

New York gets Carmelo Anthony

Indiana gets Anthony Randolph, Ty Lawson, and Eddie Curry ( 1 year expiring )

Denver gets T.J. Ford, Brandon Rush, Gallanari, and a pacers 1st round pick.

New York gets their man.

Indiana gets two more young guys that may blossom in to something special and Curry to back up Roy for one year and to help make the salaries match.

Denver gets Gallanari ( break out year?? ) TJ - servceable back up and an expiring contract, Brandon Rush who still has potential, comes cheap and has worn out his welcom in Indy and the first round pick they have been coveting.

What do you guys think?

Don't think it will happen

But if it does, pacers and knicks are equally winners.

Pacers don’t have room to take on 3 only giving up 2. They aren’t buying anyone out. Denver gets royally screwed on this trade.

Pacers swap out Paul George for Rush and the Nuggets might do it. Otherwise, why? They could just trade ‘Melo to the Knicks for Curry, prospects and change. I know the Knicks dont’ have many future picks to give, but they’d do anything for ‘Melo…we’d have to let go of a real commodity to bring in Randolph.

Don't think Pacers would do it

Need to get rid of a player, not add, and we’re giving up two promising young players and a big expering for two promising young players and a big expiring.

Doubt that Denver would do this

Giving up Melo AND Lawson for a 1st rounder and Galinari. Seems awfully steep.

Melo for Galinari and 2 1st rounders would be closer to realistic.

Denver says no. Our front office laughs hysterically after it goes through. Take out Ty Lawson and you have a possible base deal there.

Ty Lawson??

We bring in Darren Collison and call him our PG of the future, then we bring in Ty Lawson. A bit of a mixed message there

no

the nuggets apparently have a deal with the Nets for Derrick Favors (#3 in this years draft) and 2 future 1st rounders which is a lot more than Gallerini and 1 future first rounder.

This trade is in no way done yet. Willi31 has something going here but yea theres no way they give up Lawson and you’d better add some other form of draft pick such as some second rounders from NY. Call me crazy but I actually see this 4-team deal falling through. Melo will not sign a contract extention with a team that has one point guard and it’s Jordan Farmar. I mean there is no way a core of Jordan Farmar, Brook Lopez and Terrence Williams can keep him there. They won less then 20 games last year and they lose arguably their best player in Devin Harris….. that’s not exactly the best equation. By the time 1/3 of this teams reaches maturity he’ll be 30.

I don’t see the Pacers doing anything drastic at this point. If a trade were to be made, I’d like to see something like Dahntay Jones for Brandan Wright from the Warriors. The Warriors could really use some help on the perimeter and on defense in general. The Pacers could use another body in the frontcourt, and Wright, though often injured, still has some athleticism and potential. Though, eith Dahntay’s contract on the books for another 3 years or so, and considering Wright was a former top-10 pick, I doubt the Warriors would do the deal. Anyway, I think it’s just an example to show if the Pacers made another move it would probably be something minor.
