Could this get us Melo?
Now with this Brandon Rush news lets try to move him before we are stuck with him another year.
We also need to move Ford, maybe this could make some room so we can sign Magnum Rolle.
Do you guys think that Denver would be interested in this trade ? I think this works money wise.
Rush $1,724,200 - T.J. Ford $8,500,000 - Jeff $6,655,000 = $16,879,200 & maybe a future Draft pick.
Melo $ 16,378.325

no
this would not work, Denver is going to want a bunch of draft picks and good young talent, Melo has an expiring contract, so if thats what they are after, they should just keep him for one more year and let him walk. so it does not make much sense for them to give up one huge expiring contract for a couple not so good expiring contracts.
ding ding ding we have a winner
They are going to want something of value.
the biggest thing that's been overlooked
why would melo ever want to stay in indy after his contract expires, even if he does get traded to the pacers? he’s made it clear that he wants to cop out and join a super team like lebron and bosh.
Harper's on Miller, McKey, gets in to Miller for the win and...
Hail to the Orange.
Hail to the Blue.
Hail Alma Mater,
Ever so true.
We love no other,
So let our motto be
Victory, Illinois, Varsity.
NO chance, not enough
Rush is not getting moved unless he is cut. No one will want to touch him with a 20ft pole. We need him to start off, after his suspension, like a gangbuster and proceed to help his stock, and hopefully trade him then, because I believe a fast start by him would be an outlier and not what we should expect from Rush.
On the trade. If you add in Danny and a 1st rounder or 3 first rounders, it may get done.
Not once, not nevah
For all the reasons everyone said. To get him and keep Granger (which would seem redundant anyway) we’d probably have to part with George, Hibbert, their choice of expirings to make it work and AT LEAST one unprotected 1rdp, probably more.
"You're hitting the wrong person. Don't you know you're hitting Ron Artest?"
Come visit The Fantasy Ninjas. We'd love to hear from you.
Even if we traded for Carmelo
I highly doubt he would stick around, whereas Danny will. Hence there is no way we should swap the two, because we would end up with neither in a years time
overrated
It’s funny this is mentioned because Carmelo sort of reminds me of Rush, albeit exponentially more talented. That said, his focus on the court negates that talent to a large degree. They completely folded against the Lakers in the 2009 playoffs, and folded in general in 2010. Carmelo is an All-Star second fiddle, Glen Robinson 2.0. Ignore the hype people!
