Well, I think I have an idea for a really good trade for all involved, and if not I love reading the opinions, so it's a win - win. You can view the trade at http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=286egvd
Here is the trade.
Pacers get: Josh Smith
Atlanta gets: Solo jones, Jeff Foster, Corey Brewer from Minnesota and Minn. 1st round pick
Golden State gets: D. Jones, TJ Ford, and the Pacers 1st round pick
Minnesota gets: Monta Ellis
I think this works out for all teams. Indiana besides the obvious, opens up PT for George at SF and SG, saves us money this year and allows us to sign Rolle. Actually I think it puts us way under the cap this year with plenty of flexibility.
Atlanta gets cap relief to resign Horford, at least one quality center, a decent SG and whats more than likely a lottery draft pick. Throw in second rounder from pacers or twolves if need be.
Golden State gets an almost $ 9 mil expiring contract who is a quality backup, they wanna get rid of Ellis anyway, a quality starting SG who would fit in nicely. They also get our 1st round pick and if need be 2nd rounder from us or twolves
Minnesota gets: Monta Ellis a 25ppg young core player who fills their biggest current weakness, SG.
I think the trade would work from all sides, obviously if Bird could pull off another masterpiece 4 team trade along these lines it would be an amazing thing. What do you guys think? Could it work? What would you change? What in your opinion would be needed to make this happen? Beyond a miracle. LOL Beat you to it infinity. LOL
