Pacers Not Ready To Make A Roster Move For Williams
According to Andrew Perna at RealGM, the Pacers will not fill out their roster with Marcus Williams or any other D-League player at this time.
"We've taken a close look at our options and we're not going to make a roster move at this time," Pacers general manager David Morway told RealGM via e-mail.

This whole saga is a bit disappointing
I was a fan of the risk, even if the reward wasn’t going to be that great in the grand scheme of things. Wouldn’t have minded seeing a new face on the team, but alas, best of luck to Marcus Williams, and best of luck in the playoffs, maybe we’ll see him actually suit up in a Pacers summer uniform alongside our three new rooks (hopefully three new rooks, don’t really care to pick another Stanko who isn’t going to be seen or heard for years, if at all).
Speaking of our Euro picks,
I watched Lorbek in a big game for Barcelona (or Real Madrid I get them confused) a week or so ago and dude looked good. He had a nice jumper and really seemed to be an asset to his team. I don’t know if there’s any chance of getting him stateside but Larry should definitely give it a shot.
I only saw a little bit of one of those games
but I got excited seeing him chase down a rebound in the air. Much more assertive and physical than when I’ve seen him in the past.
Here's what I got:
He turned them down. Good move by him not to get locked up. It’s an interesting development in a development league. Call up crazy players limit themselves.
Seems there’s more to this story than RealGM reports.
I blog at Ridiculous Upside. I know you'll love it.
Wow
that is an interesting twist, especially if he has been available off and on for 3 years. Risky move on his part, but it’s not like he was a lock for playing time here in Indy…
pretty good opportunity to pass up tho
At least three roster spots open (well, 2 after the draft) plus a solid chance to earn not only the NBA check but playing time if his game is really worthy.
