Are You Kidding Me?!
Okay, we're all on the same page on the Jim O'Brien front.... the guy is obsessed with three pointers and his system will never get anyone an NBA championship. Now we all sit here and wonder why Larry Bird keeps him around... This quote about Granger possibly joining the USA National Team just made me even more confused:
"I think that's a great experience for (Granger)," said Pacers president Larry Bird, who won a gold medal with the 1992 Olympic team. "Like I told him, 'Don't go out there and fire up 50 3s. Take it to the hole. Show these guys you're a man." (Indystar)
Woah! Woah! Woah!....... what? This is the same guy that is giving unwavering support to a guy that wants to stone his players to death if they decide to drive to the hole. So it's time for multiple choice:
Jim O'Brien is:
A) blackmailing Larry.
B) hypnotizing Larry.
C) an alien taking the form of Larry Bird just to help him in the destroying of this organization.
........ D) All of the above
All I know is once we get to the root of this problem, we can stop with these ridiculous random benchings of Dahntay Jones.

Pacers will never win with Larry picking the players
We could have dug up Adolph Rupp and this was at best a .500 squad this year.
Get some difference makers and we will start to win. Whoever the damn coach is….
" Tell me something Steve, How does a guy from Puerto Rico loose a ball in the Sun? "
I see O'Briens system being similar to the Magic.
Only they have MUCH more talent than we do. But maybe down the road we could be a similar team to what they are.
and +1 on the Dahntay Jones thing, I’m trying to let him grow on me.

2a.
You forgot the second part of reason 2:
The Magic actually run their offense through that double team magnet in order for him to kick out to wing players.
Don’t the Pacers have a really good passing Center on their team?

yep
but to this point, JOB says he doesn’t like having him pass out of the post, he would rather put him at the top of the key where no one would EVER double team him.
ALTHOUGH…. to JOB defense, Hibbert can actually hit that shot at the top of the key if he can’t find someone open, unlike Howard.
