Rumblings in New York

"New York is the media mecca as far as endorsements and being able to expand your personal net worth," Granger said. "The exposure you can get there isn't only nationally but globally. New York does all that for you."

Star-divide

Ken Berger is blowing this comment out of proportion in my eyes but he is a professional with an opinion ....what do you think?

Guy is Full of it

Just read the article and it seems to be a bunch of crap. Everything he writes makes no sense. If Granger’s only desire is to win, then why go to a franchise that has struggled longer than we have? This is another thick headed New Yorker thinking that everyone has the dream to play for that crappy franchise. It’s people like this that make me wish for the rivalry with the Knicks to pick back up.

Granger asked a question, he gave his opinion

No real sense in reading too much into it, I don’t think. Considering he can’t go this summer and he’s answering in best interest for LeBron as far as growing assets, there’s very little to read into.

And besides, it’ll take a lot for this team to move Granger anyway. If we aren’t good enough to compete by the time he’s ready for an extension/new contract, we don’t deserve to keep him.

Blowing it out of proportion is right.

He responded to a question of what LeBron should do, not what Danny Granger should do. LeBron has his own image and could arguably capitalize even more off of being in New York. Granger has some work to do before he establishes Granger Inc.

When the question asked is “where would YOU love to play” and he answers New York for all those reasons, then you got a story.
