Game Thread #66: Indiana Pacers at Milwaukee Bucks

Indiana Pacers at Milwaukee Bucks, Mar 14, 2010 1:00 PM EDT

Indiana Pacers

March 14, 2010 - 1:00PM EST
The Bradley Center
Radio: 1070 The Fan TV: None
Probable starters:
Earl Watson PG Brandon Jennings
Brandon Rush  SG John Salmons
Danny Granger  SF Carlos Delfino
Troy Murphy PF Luc Mbah a Moute
Roy Hibbert C Andrew Bogut

Talk about messin' with the biorhythms. The Indiana Pacers have a rare day game today at the Milwaukee  Bucks. Not only does the game start at 1:00PM but it tips after everyone lost an hour of sleep thanks to springing their clocks forward for Daylight Savings Time. Throw in the fact that there's no TV and you could consider this the lost he schedule. Fortunately, Mark Boyle and Slick Leonard will be providing the high def visuals with their radio call.

Last we heard, T.J. Ford was doubtful to play today meaning Earl Watson would likely take his spot in the starting lineup. JOB has preferred to go small against the Bucks in the past to avoid leaving Roy Hibbert on Andrew Bogut. If he sticks with that plan I assume Dahntay Jones will get the start, but I'm hopeful Hibbert gets the start and logs the much needed experience of dealing with a center like Bogut who is playing quite well.

Bad feeling about this one

Bucks are hot and at home, game’s early, not on TV, probably wearing the banana suits, this is going to be a disastrous game. Maybe I’ll be wrong, but I somehow doubt everyone gets up for this one.

by goodlucksaturday on Mar 14, 2010 12:40 PM EDT reply actions

Apparently

Dunleavy got jacked in the face by a ball during warmups and had to head back to the locker room.

by Tom Lewis on Mar 14, 2010 1:09 PM EDT reply actions

Banana suits today

Hopefully I’m not predicting the rest of it right.

by goodlucksaturday on Mar 14, 2010 1:11 PM EDT reply actions

Hey

Slick says Roy defended Bogut pretty good on that last play. Then finds Watson for a layup.

by Tom Lewis on Mar 14, 2010 1:13 PM EDT reply actions

Tried to watch it

Screw that. Gonna have to go with Mark & Slick.

by goodlucksaturday on Mar 14, 2010 1:19 PM EDT reply actions

McBobs in

Bucks still up. Rush and Roy playing well.

by goodlucksaturday on Mar 14, 2010 1:35 PM EDT reply actions

A.J. gets the start for the second

Him, McBobs, Brandon, Danny on the floor. Murph as well.

by goodlucksaturday on Mar 14, 2010 1:39 PM EDT reply actions

Sounds like Stack

Is taking Danny to school today. Not cool.

by goodlucksaturday on Mar 14, 2010 1:42 PM EDT reply actions

Is there a reason

league pass isn’t showing the game today? Is it on NBATV?

by jantz101 on Mar 14, 2010 1:43 PM EDT reply actions

Weird

we even got the jumbotron feed for the T-Wolves game!

by jantz101 on Mar 14, 2010 1:47 PM EDT up reply actions

I tried that

But my computer wasn’t having it, so I have to go with the old online radio thing. Can’t even do traditional radio, since the local radio station that carried it sold out to ESPN and now don’t get Mark and Slick.

by goodlucksaturday on Mar 14, 2010 1:51 PM EDT up reply actions

League Pass

has Mark and Slick, got that going

by jantz101 on Mar 14, 2010 1:52 PM EDT up reply actions

Well

Early start + west coast time + daylight savings time = I just woke up and missed the first quarter!

by jantz101 on Mar 14, 2010 1:46 PM EDT reply actions

For the record

John Wall made a great player to end the half. Didn’t get the last second shot to fall, but broke a couple ankles before throwing up the runner a bit hard.

by goodlucksaturday on Mar 14, 2010 1:51 PM EDT reply actions

You see that behind the back move he made towards the end of the game yesterday? He accelerated through the move! Unbelievable…

by jantz101 on Mar 14, 2010 1:53 PM EDT up reply actions

I'm pretty excited

To see how he looks in the second half of a championship game. And then right after that, I’ll get to see how Turner works. Gotta try and keep an eye on Favors as well.

Whats up guys/gal blazers fan here...

whats with murphy? he getting dominated by bogut? why anit ya killin the bucks!

by These Refs Suck on Mar 14, 2010 1:59 PM EDT reply actions

Murph has tuned out since the trade deadline, ha

But Bogut’s struggling big time today. 2-7 from the floor, 2-5 from the line. Roy Hibbert seems to be doing well.

We’re not killing the Bucks because we’re not good, haha. Bucks are hot right now too. Glad to be within ten.

by goodlucksaturday on Mar 14, 2010 2:01 PM EDT up reply actions

Simple

Bogut is a better player than Murphy. Bucks are a better team than the Pacers. I hated writing that, but it’s true!

by jantz101 on Mar 14, 2010 2:02 PM EDT up reply actions

I need to know when the last time we were swept by Milwaukee

If ever. Cause it has to have been a long long long time. If ever. But I’m trying to figure out if I can’t manipulate b-r.com without having to go through every year.

by goodlucksaturday on Mar 14, 2010 2:06 PM EDT up reply actions

It would have to be years ago.

I can’t think it’s happened in recent memory…

by jantz101 on Mar 14, 2010 2:09 PM EDT up reply actions

damn...

bogut is tankin alot of shots… whos guardin him? hibbert?

by These Refs Suck on Mar 14, 2010 2:03 PM EDT reply actions

He was to open the game

I assume it’s him, Murphy, and McRoberts.

by goodlucksaturday on Mar 14, 2010 2:04 PM EDT up reply actions

In trying to figure out when we were last swept by Milwaukee

We were almost swept in 03-04 of all years. Went 1-3 against them.

by goodlucksaturday on Mar 14, 2010 2:09 PM EDT reply actions

Sweep

Last happened in 1981-82 (0-6). Also in 1977-78 (0-4) and 1979-80 (0-2). Been a long long time. Like to avoid that.

by goodlucksaturday on Mar 14, 2010 2:16 PM EDT up reply actions

Getting murdered on the glass

Bucks with 14 offensive, 34 total boards. Pacers with 1 and 17 total. Gotta show some more heart in the second half

by jantz101 on Mar 14, 2010 2:12 PM EDT reply actions

John Wall update

Halfway through the second. Struggling from the floor (2-9, 4 PTS), but it playing great with hustle. Has 8 assists, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, and only 2 turnovers.

by goodlucksaturday on Mar 14, 2010 2:28 PM EDT reply actions

Slick mentioned

Hibby hasn’t had the ball in the low post yet. Feed Roy!

by jantz101 on Mar 14, 2010 2:32 PM EDT reply actions

Roy struggling

Not getting any touches offensively it seems, and can’t stop Bogut defensively.

by goodlucksaturday on Mar 14, 2010 2:37 PM EDT reply actions

Granger living on the line

Drawing fouls on Bogut. That’s something.

by goodlucksaturday on Mar 14, 2010 2:40 PM EDT reply actions

Miss St.

hangin tough, looking to get their ticket punched!

by jantz101 on Mar 14, 2010 2:53 PM EDT reply actions

Should be interesting in the bubble case this year

With them and MInnesota kind of being on the same level of the bubble. Still doesn’t mean we need to expand the field to 256.

by goodlucksaturday on Mar 14, 2010 2:55 PM EDT up reply actions

Man, 62 points after 3

where is the offense today? You can’t run and gun if you don’t score points

by jantz101 on Mar 14, 2010 2:55 PM EDT reply actions

Seems like

this is an entire game of shooting ourselves in the foot. Every time we make a run, a stupid turnover is forced. Frustrating

by jantz101 on Mar 14, 2010 3:02 PM EDT up reply actions

Oh my

Kentucky just forced OT on a last second tip. Five more minutes of John Wall.

by goodlucksaturday on Mar 14, 2010 3:04 PM EDT reply actions

Kind of ironic

That the free throws are what’s keeping us from getting within ten. Three misses in this quarter, which are all of the misses.

by goodlucksaturday on Mar 14, 2010 3:10 PM EDT reply actions

Ooh

Rush with five straight to pull it to six.

by goodlucksaturday on Mar 14, 2010 3:14 PM EDT reply actions

Boom Baby!

Rush with the 3 cuts it to 6

by jantz101 on Mar 14, 2010 3:14 PM EDT reply actions

A.J.!!

Driving the lane and drawing the foul on Bogut! Four on him. Hit ’em, A.J.!

Dwa? A.J. got called for the technical.

by goodlucksaturday on Mar 14, 2010 3:16 PM EDT reply actions

Wow

John Wall got a leaning horizontally three pointer to dagger Miss St.

by goodlucksaturday on Mar 14, 2010 3:17 PM EDT reply actions

Oh, bad turnover

A.J. tried to needle it to Rush, out of bounds.

by goodlucksaturday on Mar 14, 2010 3:19 PM EDT reply actions

Miss St.

Loses a heartbreaker thanks to Wall and Cousins. Hmm.

by goodlucksaturday on Mar 14, 2010 3:21 PM EDT reply actions

Solo!

Still down four. Need a stop!

by goodlucksaturday on Mar 14, 2010 3:22 PM EDT reply actions

I like to see

AJ and Solo get some meaningful minutes here

by jantz101 on Mar 14, 2010 3:23 PM EDT reply actions

Price seems like he is being aggressive

but can’t get anything to fall. Remember you got DG33 out there young fella!

by jantz101 on Mar 14, 2010 3:25 PM EDT up reply actions

Slick wants to go for the win

Pacers still haven’t played an OT game this year.

by goodlucksaturday on Mar 14, 2010 3:26 PM EDT reply actions

All right, I know how this ends

Wait…Dunleavy’s not in there! So no last second shot with seven to go!

by goodlucksaturday on Mar 14, 2010 3:26 PM EDT reply actions

Haha

This time will be different…right?

by jantz101 on Mar 14, 2010 3:27 PM EDT up reply actions

Ugh

doesn’t look good

by jantz101 on Mar 14, 2010 3:29 PM EDT up reply actions

guys?

ESPN gamecast has Granger missing a shot with 2.9 sec left, what happened next???

"If you don't [draft me], I promise you I'll come back and kick your ass for the next 15 years."

by psvirsky on Mar 14, 2010 3:28 PM EDT reply actions

ahh, they got the board

"If you don't [draft me], I promise you I'll come back and kick your ass for the next 15 years."

by psvirsky on Mar 14, 2010 3:29 PM EDT up reply actions

Whistle blew

right before the buzzer. 1.1 seconds left with Salmons shooting 2

by jantz101 on Mar 14, 2010 3:29 PM EDT up reply actions

Sounds like

Danny committed a foul with about .4 to go.

by goodlucksaturday on Mar 14, 2010 3:29 PM EDT up reply actions

Down two

1.1 to go…Bucks at the line. Pacers have a chance if Salmons misses one.

by goodlucksaturday on Mar 14, 2010 3:29 PM EDT reply actions

Bummer

At least they made it interesting.

by goodlucksaturday on Mar 14, 2010 3:31 PM EDT reply actions

At least

we got some excitement at the end of the game. Nice job by the Pacers to show a little fight. John Wall!!!!
