Game Thread #57: Indiana Pacers at Chicago Bulls

Indiana Pacers at Chicago Bulls, Feb 24, 2010 8:00 PM EST

February 24, 2010 - 8:00PM EST
United Center
Radio: 1070 The Fan TV: Fox Sports Indiana
Probable starters:
Earl Watson PG Derrick Rose
Brandon Rush SG Kirk Hinrich
Danny Granger SF Luol Deng
Troy Murphy PF Taj Gibson
Roy Hibbert C Brad Miller

The Indiana Pacers complete their four-game road trip tonight just up I-65 when they take on the Chicago Bulls.

The Bulls have won four of their last five games but thanks to a couple of deadline deals the roster looks a bit different than it did two weeks ago when the Bulls beat the Pacers at the Fieldhouse. Gone are John Salmons and Tyrus Thomas, replaced with Hakim Warrick, Acie Law and Flip Murray. I've always loved Flip just because he's the type of guy who can walk onto any court anywhere, whether it be an NBA arena or the local YMCA, and put up 20 in a hurry.

According to Bruno's Scouting Report, Danny Graner is expected to jump back into action tonight after missing the Dallas game to tend to a personal issue.

Oh, these late starts are lammmeee

No clue what I’m going to do next week when I have to be awake three hours after the games end…

Definitely

I sat down to a movie at five, had it set to end at seven…now I’m stuck watching Penn State somehow stay within striking distance of Ohio State.

Wish I could trust Turner's health

Pair this kid with Danny and we’re set. I might actually like him more than John Wall if it weren’t for the potential health disaster.

Heard Clark Kellogg talking about his fellow Buckeye last week

He mentioned the the broken back sounded much worse than it was and the bone that broke was real small and not weight-bearing. For whatever that’s worth…

by Tom Lewis on Feb 24, 2010 7:44 PM EST up reply actions

I have a feeling

Clark would be beside himself to see Turner as a Pacer.

If he’s right, I’d love to have him.

Food Poisoning??

That’s the excuse people where I work use when they don’t want to come into work.

by IndyDan on Feb 24, 2010 8:01 PM EST up reply actions

Nice

Troy was tippy-toeing on the baseline.

by Tom Lewis on Feb 24, 2010 8:13 PM EST reply actions

There goes Watson

Pretending to be Derrick Rose.

by Nathan S. on Feb 24, 2010 8:15 PM EST reply actions

ack

double-bunny miss. Granger and then Rush

by Tom Lewis on Feb 24, 2010 8:17 PM EST reply actions

Ohhh man.

I’m done.

A bad fast break for Danny, a bad second chance op for Brandon.

by Nathan S. on Feb 24, 2010 8:17 PM EST reply actions

'Sup guys

Shocker. Looks like another slow start…

by jantz101 on Feb 24, 2010 8:18 PM EST reply actions

Granger seems real active out there

but his shots are a bit wild. Maybe letting go of some pent up energy.

by Tom Lewis on Feb 24, 2010 8:21 PM EST reply actions

He killed us

in the first half last game. You got another case of beer ridin on this game?

by jantz101 on Feb 24, 2010 8:25 PM EST up reply actions

Unfortunately - yes.

A standing bet made at the start of the season. Back when I was HIGH on the team, HA!

by IndyDan on Feb 24, 2010 8:27 PM EST up reply actions

Haha

we’ve all made our mistakes…

by jantz101 on Feb 24, 2010 8:28 PM EST up reply actions

Nice

maybe they can wrestle out at least one case for ya! This one doesn’t look promising…

by jantz101 on Feb 24, 2010 8:31 PM EST up reply actions

Time to play the "at least" game

At least AJ should see significant action tonight!

by jantz101 on Feb 24, 2010 8:32 PM EST reply actions

Clark just said

the Bulls are playing with a chip on their shoulder because they lost on Monday. The Pacers meanwhile lost their last game. No chip, not even a flake of dandruff on their shoulder.

by Tom Lewis on Feb 24, 2010 8:33 PM EST reply actions

Sad but true

We need a little bit of swagger out there. And A LOT more than 12 points a quarter

by jantz101 on Feb 24, 2010 8:35 PM EST up reply actions

Nice three for Granger

then Hakim Warrick just abused him in the post.

by Tom Lewis on Feb 24, 2010 8:36 PM EST reply actions

Gotta wonder

if he is all there tonight

by jantz101 on Feb 24, 2010 8:37 PM EST up reply actions

End 1Q: Bulls up 37-18

Late three’s from Granger and Luther squeezed the deficit under 20.

by Tom Lewis on Feb 24, 2010 8:39 PM EST reply actions

3's fallin for now

gonna need them to get back in this one

by jantz101 on Feb 24, 2010 8:41 PM EST reply actions

Tie game!

didn’t expect saying that in the second!

by jantz101 on Feb 24, 2010 9:09 PM EST reply actions

Great!

Saw we were down like 15 earlier, pressed update on the phone and all of sudden we were within two. Fantastic!

Quickly down 9

to start the second half…

by jantz101 on Feb 24, 2010 9:33 PM EST reply actions

This is crazy

Pacers can’t get a stop. Must’ve ran out of gas sprinting back into the game in the second quarter.

by Tom Lewis on Feb 24, 2010 9:43 PM EST reply actions

just started watching....

looks like its another defense optional game

If Youre not First, Youre Last

by drsuessrunner07 on Feb 24, 2010 9:45 PM EST reply actions

Sheesh

Pacers gotta wins some battles for the ball. Down 13.

by Tom Lewis on Feb 24, 2010 10:12 PM EST reply actions

True to form

Pacers dig themselves into another hole. Gotta get some stops to climb out of this one. I’m not holding my breath

by jantz101 on Feb 24, 2010 10:14 PM EST reply actions

Boo

Offense played well, defense stunk up the joint again
