February 19, 2010 - 7:00PM EST
New Orleans Arena
Radio: 1070 The Fan TV: Fox Sports Indiana
Probable starters:
Earl Watson PG Darren Collison
Brandon Rush SG Morris Peterson
Danny Granger SF Peja Stojakovic
Troy Murphy PF David West
Roy Hibbert C Emeka Okafor

The Indiana Pacers are on the road tonight to take on the New Orleans Hornets sans Chris Paul. Paul had knee surgery two weeks ago and is expected to miss 2-4 more weeks before returning.

The Pacers should find a motivated Hornets team tonight as they try to hold their playoff hopes together until their All-Star point guard returns. New Orleans is 3-5 without Paul and currently three games out of a playoff spot in the Western Conference.

On the other hand, the Pacers have only math to thank for their playoff hopes. Instead the team needs to take advanatage of every game as an opportunity to improve and develop for the future. This can be boiled down to a couple of simple request for the rest of the season. Feed Roy and free A.J.

Bruno's Scouting Report focuses on the doughnut the Pacers have posted in the win column on the road this year against teams with at least a .500 record or teams from the Western Conference. Happy Friday, everybody!

Winnable game here

I would be nice to see Hungry Hungry Hibbert fed delicious morsels from AJ tonight.

I don’t know if I am going to be able to catch the game, but as always, look forward to reading the game thread comments.

I’m settling in for a LONG second half to the season here. Lets look for bright spots and keep wishing for that first pick!

Pacers down 38-24 in 2Q

JOB going with hockey shifts at this point looking for something, anything.

At that point in the game

where I have to say the Pacers are lucky they’re only down 14.

Free A.J.

HALF: Hornets up 62-43

about right. Murph O-fer the night. Team shooting 33%.

Nice start

Couple of Collison turnovers cashed in by Watson and Granger.

On the plus side...

…um, this is a wonderful site?

Just noticed that the DJ Augustin/Gerald Henderson Bobcats just took down the Cavs. FanFingTastic. Granted, the trade talk was just talk but I need something at this point.

Nice take to the rim by Granger to start the second half. That should buy him the right to take 3 straight contested threes.

Yeah, I’m getting jaded.

Good news

Philly won tonight, looks like Washington will win too.

Last possession was REAL bad

Luther dribbles while others stand. Then Luther goes in the lane, jump passes to Murph who passes about 3 feet to Granger (no spacing) who shoots an airball-three. Ugh.

Another blown bunny

fouls, missed shots, tie-ups or blocks. The Pacers have struggled to score from 2 feet and in tonight.
