The Pacers have Roy Hibbert. A recent breakout talent that has only emerged due to his unwavering dedication to improving his craft. He's long, he's smart, he's talented...... but he's also slow. Josh McRoberts has done an admirable job playing aside him but honestly I don't view him as a starting power forward on a championship caliber team. So I've comprised a list of player that maybe be the guy we need now or in the future.
Josh Smith: Having Roy Hibbert next to J-Smoove would be the scariest shot-blocking 1-2 combo in recent memory. They both are top 5 shot blockers in this league and their games would co-exist perfectly. Then just when they're sick of getting looking over their shoulders the whole time you send in Psycho T to knock them around. Obtaining him is a different story. Though he's one of the best talents in the league the Hawks are bleeding money. Having Joe Johnson for an average of 20 million over 6 years and signing Horford for 15 million a year kills the Hawks wallet. Josh Smith may be the odd man out. (Havimg a future line-up of Darren Collison, Paul George, Danny Granger, Josh Smith, and Roy Hibbert is scary)
Jordan Hill: Hill was traded out of New York after it was desperate to gain one of the big 3 last year.... we all know how that worked out. Hill has shown signs this year at he can become and the Pacers may wanna throw their hats in on a possible deal.
Anthony Randolph: If there is a player who oozes talent but hasn't been able to show it, it's Anthony Randolph. People are waiting for this kid to break out but it just hasn't happened yet. Some are growing impatient and forget that he's 21 years old still. The Pacers offered the Knicks a 1st rounder for Randolph and since he has fallen out of the small rotations that D'Antoni uses. Who knows? He may be available soon if the Knicks were to get desperate for a first rounder.
Who do you like? Have another high flyer that should be on this list? I'd love to hear your ideas.
