I know that PF is a more pressing need for us than SG right now but what about OJ Mayo?

I know that Heisley refutes this rumor, but lets face it the Grizzlies are a cheap franchise and have a history of dumping players to save money (see Pau Gasol) or trying to lowball players (see Xavier Henry) so its conceivable that they could be talked out of Mayo.

He is having a down season, but is coming off two great seasons so this might be the perfect opportunity to buy low. his contract is reasonable and has another year left after this one.

Seeing as these are the Grizzlies, I think its conceivable that he could be had for a first round pick and 1 or 2 of our expiring deals.

It would give us a potential SG of the future, as well as the flexibility to sign a Dale Davis type of PF in the offseason.

Looks good to me. Maybe I'm dreaming, but what do you all think?
