Dunleavy Updates His Own Status
Mike Dunleavy offers an injury update direct from the horse's patellar tendon, or something like that. Think I'll just settle back into the All-Star-break-return expectations I felt comfortable with earlier this summer.
In the meantime, I will be trying to stay in shape by swimming in the pool. I can also do some shooting drills on the court. In addition, I'll be able to do some weightlifting and strengthening exercises for my lower and upper body.
So I will be staying busy but just not with the things that I would like. The main thing I need to stay away from is the pounding that takes place from running around on the basketball court.
There is no timetable for my return to practice, it just depends on how I feel and how my knee looks under exam. So I'm going to take it day-by-day and week-by-week and just see how it progresses.

this doesn't sound as bad
as O’Brien’s comments yesterday. In any case, it’s really bad news for the Pacers. I really thought Dunleavy would return within the first few weeks of the season.
