Pacers Sign Luther Head

PrintThe Indiana Pacers announced the signing of guard Luther Head today. Here is Larry Bird's thoughts on the signing:
"Luther is a guy we have had our eye on," Bird said in a statement released by the team. "He can shoot, he has speed and quickness and he will fit in well in our up-tempo game. I think he’s going to be a good addition to our basketball team."

I'm glad Bird answered this for me
Since I was thinking Head would be an attempt to fill the void that Jack left and it appears that’s a bit of what this move does. I like what Head can do offensively for the second (or third?) unit…assuming we can get the Luther Head of 2006-07 or 2007-08 and not last year’s fifty games missed.

Another solid acquisition for the team and gives Price some space to grow into a future role with the team. No objections here.
