UPDATE: Bruno previews Tyler Hansbrough's summer league debut and also includes a link to view the streaming video through Pacers.com.
Here are a few links of interest in the meantime:
- Hansbrough makes impression
Mike Wells reports on Tyler Hansbrough's work through the summer league practices and the impression he's left on teammates. As I mentioned in my summer league primer, this is a time for learning and expanding the game of young players. It is part of the development process not a final exam, which Mike captures with this comment about Hansbrough adjusting to Jim O'Brien and the pro game.O'Brien recently pulled aside Hansbrough and fellow rookie A.J. Price and told them it's OK if they don't know something because they're "not supposed to know everything" as rookies.
- Long odds nothing new for Price
Bruno looks at the tough road ahead for A.J. Price in his quest to stick on the Pacers roster. -

Does anyone know..
where I can get just a simple list of what free agents have signed where? ESPN is so dam annoying, i cant find anything. Did Artest officially go to LA?
Josh McRoberts just ran the floor VERY nicely, and did a little one handed pass to Rush for a layup.

AJ Price
seems pretty comfortable bringing the ball up the floor. Some nifty spin moves to hit a 15 footer at the buzzer. Pacers down 20-17 after the first.
My thoughts through one.
Scot VanDermier (SP) is the worst player I’ve ever seen try to play pro basketball.
Anthony Smith looked good in his limited time. Good shot. Poor selection
Hans. Boring dunk. Soft on D. Got thrown around. Good on the O boards.
Rush- best player on the floor. looks great.
AJ Price- Looks fast, good handles, poor selection.
McRoberts looks like a man.
Hibbs. Not looking so good…
Spot on analysis
Rush is definitely looking great as a floor leader, while Hibbert looks like a D-II guy fighting for a spot on the team. He’s spun into defenders to lose the ball, been blocked by the backboard and seems routinely out-of-sync in the offense. Good to see Hansbrough out there though.
And McRobert’s dunk…sick!
watching loosely now @ work...
they just mistaked handsbrough for rob kurz….wasnt he on GSW last year?
and theres no way mistaked is really a word, it has to be mistook?

Halftime Pacers down 36-35
Hansbrough with 2 quick “body” fouls sits out the remainder of the second quarter. Hibbert finally gets a lay in at the end of the period. Rush and McRoberts looking like the two best players for the Pacers in the first half.
Hibbert's body
must have been tranquilized with shock because he wasn’t in foul trouble and on the bench during the first half. His body had no idea how to handle so many minutes.
52-51 Pacers down after 3
Rush starting to look like the Brandon Rush of the first half of the season. 9 threes attempted, maybe one made. Hansbrough and McRoberts looked good that period. Price has hit a couple of threes, Hibbert woke up a bit also
After Hibbert got insulted by Dante and Galante he started playing better.
For some reason I love the way Rush dribbles. I don’t know why.

I'm the opposite
I hate his dribble. It is too high and it always looks unnatural for a guard. To me that is. I’ve been hating on that dribble since he was still in high school.
I think Rush plays much better when he uses that quick first step to get to the hole. His outside jumper isn’t falling, would like to see him attack the bucket more. Haven’t seen him with any left handed drives either.
This may seem weird, but he seems lefty for a reason. Lefties shoot a bit differently, and his shot looks a tad lefty to me. Yeah I know, it makes no sense why I think it.
He has not looked that great this second half.

Good guys win in OT 75-67
Rush: Started off well, missed a ton of shots, including lay-ups, as the game went on
Hibbert: Started slow, moved well, ended up with 10 or so pts
Hansbrough: Also started slow, got into some foul trouble in the first half, really played well in the second half. Moved well inside, hit some difficult shots, but missed his outside shots. Got to the line a few times too.
McRoberts: Was an all around force. Moved well with and without the ball. Great interior passing, nice finishes on fast breaks.
AJ Price: Hit a couple 3’s, handled the ball pretty well.
Will Blaylock: Looked pretty awful
Trey Johnson: Hit some outside shots, sloppy with the ball and on D at times.
Anthony Smith: Hit some outside shots early on, but really cooled off during the rest of the game
Scott Vender Meer: He played for a bit. Pretty bad.
hansbrough...
i dont know how much hell get to the line in the pros, but he will knock em down when given the opportunity.

Yeah Blaylock was probably the worst player on the floor. Rush was just having a poor shooting night. It happens. Nothing to worry about. I think we should all get excited about McRoberts right now, because he played a great all around game. If he got hot and hit a lot of shots, but didn’t do much else, that could be excused as a fluke. Given how he did so many different things well, I don’t think this game was a fluke. He looked perfect for Nellieball this game.

dang!!!
this game kinda made my head ache. however did blaylock get to the pros? he’s the pits! not a team player and definitely not good at handling the ball. most importantly he just showed his basketball “intelligence” during that game. i really don’t want to see this guy play.
kudos
to josh, for being consistent out there, he was really good. tyler was good too, although it was a giddy start, he was actually impressive during the 2nd half, however, i didn’t see psycho t earlier. roy was kinda good too although he wasn’t as consistent as the bearded one. this is the first time i saw a.j. play, and i must say he’s a good player. i hope he keeps it up! brandon was ok too!
the pacers really need to work on their defense
it was so painfully obvious that they’re lacking in that area. i hope jimmy will do something about this soon and sure.
Hibbert with a nice 12 and 9, with 6 of 10 shooting. Only 2 personal fouls! Needs to cut down on the 3 turnovers. Times looked like hands of stone.
Rush only 4 of 18. Eh, just a bad night. Nothing to worry about (he is probably the best player on the team so 18 shots isn’t too bad).

Again though, Rush is able to beat most defenders off the dribble with that great first step he has. He needs to remember to take the ball to the hole when he starts missing those outside shots. Danny started to realize that last year and took his game to a whole ‘nother level. I think Brandon is even quicker, attack the bucket, see if you can get to the line, watch a few free throws go in, and get more confidence. First game of the year, just don’t like seeing Brandon rush his layup attempts and settle for outside jumpers.
Yeah we don't have to worry about Rush
going 4-18. Last year Granger had a real tough preseason and couldn’t hit a shot to save his life. Brandon’s shot will come around, it might just take awhile.
And I agree, Brandon needs to take advantage of his quickess and get to the rim more
