Hansbourgh Will Emerge

Tyler will become a great player.

Star-divide

I think Larry Bird made a great choice by selecting Tyler Hansbourgh & A.J Price.  Hansbourgh is a proven scorer, rebounder, and workhorse. He not a good shooter, but  neither was Granger. He has the Highest Basketball I.Q in the draft, plus he won the tittle over taller more atheletic teams without TY Lawson for some games. With his heart and workethic I'm sure he will develope a strong outside game and look for him to improve defensively. not to mention, he lead the ACC in points (THE BEST conference in college) without a jumper. He will surpass Blake Griffith in the N.B.A The next Larry Bird.

there was and will only be one Larry Bird. Hansbrough will be very good for a longtime in the NBA. Hall of fame? time will tell, I don’t believe so, but he will be valuable nonetheless.

Give me Griffin any day.

I would guess if Blake had anywhere near UNC’s talent around him in his 2 years of college he wins 2 titles. He kills TH in every other way also. As long as he is healthy he will be a 25 and 12 type, something TH will never be.

Also the Big East was a better conference last season. No Doubt.

I hope your right about Tyler and people are saying Larry who

comparing hansbrough and bird… classic. the only thing they have in common is height and skin color.

if hansbrough ever makes an all star team I think most Pacer’s fans will be estatic. Let him work on being something more than a foster type before we compare him to top 10 nba player sof all time.

Tyler not a good shooter??

hmm, how could he have been acc’s all time leading scorer if he can’t shoot. even if a lot came from free throws, that’s still shootin’, ryt? ^^ and, he is a good shooter. and a great defensive player.

people please stop being so negative

he hasn’t even played yet. let’s give him a chance and don’t evaluate him this early.

Funny

Tyler is a very good shooter. 40% from 3 as a senior. 40% from 3 over his 4 years in high school. His 12-15 footer dropped 50% of the time at UNC. That 12-15 footer will drop at the same rate in the NBA. He is an 84% FT shooter. The FT line is the same distance in the NBA, so he should be an 80+% FT shooter in the NBA. If he plays decent minutes, he’ll score. Defensive rebounds might be an issue because of Tyler’s inability to leap straight up fom being flat footed.

i hope tyler proves the haters wrong. He does have a shit ton to offer the pacers and can be a good player, it will interesting to see him go against guys like howard, and amare. but no way you can compare him to Larry legend. a proven hall of famer.

Emerging Rookie!

Tyler Hansbrough has emerged and contrary to the commentary which generated this repsonse, Tyler can shoot. Just ask Roy Hibbert. He was very complementary about Tyler’s ability to shoot. Tyler is not so flashy and will not be seen on many high-light videos. He just possesses all the skills, desire and more importantly, the basketball IQ to WIN.

i totaly agree!

I tried to tell them that hansbourgh will be good. He won ’t be larry Bird, but bird-like. High iq, tough, hardWORKING! GO TYLER GO!!!

yeah!

based on the posts and comments here i realized that, before the summer league games, not a lot of pacers fans have seen how tyler’s game is like. they only reacted based on what they heard and read from the espn etc. analysts. the main reason they’re knocking him before the draft was because he decided to stay for 4 full years in college. back in 2008 he was the consensus # 1 draft pick guys, until he declared he’ll stay for his senior year in chapel hill. back in his ncaa days he was hated by a lot of the other teams and their fans because he was seen as their main stumbling block. just ask coach k how many gameplans he’s devised to stop this kid, hahaha, eventually leading to the gerald henderson and kyle singler incidents. i really hope indy fans will eventually support him just as the unc fans did. ^^ screw bob kravitz!

he was NOT the consensus #1 draft pick if he came out in 2008.

quit making things up

woops

"he was NOT the consensus #1 draft pick if he came out in 2008.

i was talking more about the national player of the year honors and the first round of the draft back in ’08. we all knew derrick rose was the cons #1 draft then. although i must say making things up is not my intention. just gotten some facts mixed up while typing agog. sorry bout that ^^
