T-mac for tinsley and dunlevy

pacers aren't done

Star-divide

Why aren't the pacers making any moves?  We should trade tinsley and dunlevy for t-mac . Both team have injuries that will plague their respective franchises. We(pacers) haven't had dunlevy and must dump tinsley so why not? Worst case scenario We'll be exactly where we were last year, but the upside could make us a strong force to reckon with.Granger +t-mac, sounds like 47 wins.

I'd love it BUT...

T-Mac has a huge expiring contract that is worth a lot more to Daryl Morey and the Rockets than Dunleavy and Tinsley. It would take picks and young guys with upside. I could see Portland, New Jersey, Chicago, and a few others out bidding us for T-Mac’s contract.

Plus Dunleavy’s value is non existent with his contract and injury. The only person that I think would take Dunleavy would be his dad. I’d try to send Foster and Dunleavy to the Clips for Camby, who’s fat contract also ends after this year. I’d even take on Ricky Davis’s expiring deal, then buy him out of course. Maybe we could add a little something for Al Thornton or DeAndre Jordan.

canby is a great fit

I like your style, good thinking. You should be in the front office.Hey, what do you think of Hansbourgh? I think with his tireless workethic and the right shooting coaches , he could develope into a Larry bird like player. Bird was slow ,unatheletic, but a workaholic with great knowledge of the game just like hansbourgh. They share the same build, and the same heart and despitew the na sayers, hansbourgh beat every other colledge stud to with the ncaa title without Ty (overated like mateen cleaves) Lawson.I really like the way you think I am egar to hear what you think.

Tyler has an unreal motor

However I am worried about how productive he’ll be in the league. The college game is built in 4 minute intervals with TV timeouts and such. If you go to a college practice all competitive drills last for 4 minutes. Tyler did a great job in 4 minute intervals but anything longer and he tired pretty quickly. The best pros know how to pick their spots during the regular season (and this is the reason many bball “pure-ists” dont like the game as much as college or high school) and TH will have to learn how to pick his spots just like anyone else, or he will become a mental errors on the court waiting to happen or very injury prone.

I do think that Hansbrough will be an above avg player and will carve out a certain spot on this team and in the fans hearts as the new Foster only better. He will be a leader and he will always compete. Hopefully that mentality rubs off and creates the type of mindset around the team that Reggie and Co had.

However, I do not think he will ever be a Larry Bird type player. Bird’s ability to see things before they happened set him apart from anyone to ever play. If he had just a little more raw talent the guy is probably known as the best player of all time and Magic or anyone else would have never beat his Celts in the Finals.

Lawson will be a Jarret Jack type player. Solid floor general, much better than Cleeves, but no better than a league average point and probably a good backup on good teams.

tmac is coming back for micro surgery. and has a history of being soft and hurt

he isn’t coming back this year and i doubt he will ever be productive again.

check his fg%’s the last 6 years… their terrible.

houston isn’t trading his huge expiring contract for scraps.

I wouldn't mind it

Tinsley, Dunleavy, Murphy for T-mac, Landry, and Dorsey works salary wise…
though I know Houston wouldn’t go for it as Dunleavy’s injury leaves almost the same situation as T-Mac’s though Tinsley and Murphy would give them some additional offense.

Landry and Dorsey would help toughen up are post presence, while T-Mac gives us an expiring contract and we rid ourselves of Tinsley at the same time.
