Pacers Have Interest in 3 Denver Nuggets

The Pacers have expressed interest in Denver free agent Dahntay Jones.
Jones wasn't the only player the Pacers reached out to Wednesday.
They also called about free agents Anthony Carter, Linas Kleiza and reportedly about restricted free agent Marcin Gortat.
Carter could be that veteran back-up stop-gap in case Jack leaves us. I personally think he is awful and we could do much better but he would add a veteramnpresence. I would love me some Dahntay Jones as we need someone with that sort of defensive mentality. Kleiza had a down year last year but still averaged 10-4 in 22 minutes (16-6.5 in 36 minutes). He would be a very solid back up to Granger, although I would prefer someone more defensive minded.

Kleiza I would like.
The others? Not so much. I mean Dahntay Jones is TERRIBLE. Everytime I watched him play it made my head hurt. He was easily the worst starter on a playoff team by far.

And sure to Kleiza and Jones. I prefer Kleiza as a solid role player who does a lot of little things. And since Bird is a racist, at least this will help us get whiter without having to really reach for talent.

Bird is one of the top 5 players of all time.

The Pacers need a defensive stopper and Jones fits the profile.
Klieza to me is another talented offensive player with defensive liabillities …. we can score we just cant defend

But Kleiza is about as good as we’re going to be getting in this free agent pool. If we’re considering those three scrubs, then you should probably brace for about two or three scrubs to suit up for the team next year.

well i see we took Jones. after watching some old footage of him if he plays D like he did in Denver he can be a good fit….. we need more guys who want to play D. so i take back what i said, he deff is the better of the 3 nuggets we looked at. hopefully we can get more more points out of him than 7.0 a game. it will be interesting, now we just must unload that pile of shit tinsley!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
